I had the first Osmo Pocket for two years and I really enjoyed it, it had a few downsides though like when a room was even a little dim, you could see visual noise in the footage and photos. Also whether you were outside or inside, the contrast and exposure were sometimes all over the place. The only way to TRY to fix it was to adjust the settings manually for each shot...but even then...there were limitations. This Osmo Pocket 2 is much better in the sense that when I filmed the same dim rooms or low light settings, the camera performed much better with little to no visual noise. The contrast and exposures are much more even. If you're filming a landscape that is in shadow, but there's a bright sky, this Osmo Pocket will adjust the light so you can see the ground and landscape -which is an improvement because the last pocket would adjust for the sky and make the landscape look even darker. The Pocket 2 also has better sound, its clearer and sound tracking allows it so the microphones pick up wherever the camera is pointed. I generally use an external mic, so I'll admit I haven't used the built-in mic features much. The Pocket 2 also starts up faster, but the power button is now a separate button on the side of the camera, be careful not to accidentally press the button when you're taking the camera out of the case or pushing it into the case. Speaking of case, the last Osmo was held into the case with a silicone strap, this one doesn't use a strap, it uses friction...which I think is a bad idea because over time It will wear away at the sides of the camera, making it look bad. I can already tell that's whats going to happen. The camera advertises 4k and HDR.. BUT what they don't tell you is that the HDR is not available on the 4k setting, it is only available on the 1080p setting. That being said, the 4k setting by itself is a vast improvement over the first Pocket, and by doing a bit of color grading in post-production, it could pass for HDR footage. I was a bit confused when I bought it because DJI kept saying this has zoom, but they went back and forth as if it not only possessed digital zoom but also optical zoom. Let me clear that up. THERE IS NO OPTICAL zoom not even 2x optical zoom. It uses digital zoom only, which I personally don't like, so I don't use it. The camera still gets warm when shooting in 4k mode, however it doesn't get nearly as hot as the first Pocket. My first pocket would get so hot the camera would shut down. This one doesn't. At least it hasn't yet. I like the little joy stick that comes with the camera. It allows you to move the gimball without neading to physically move your arm. This is useful for steadycam walking footage where you need to suddenly look up or down without switching to FPV mode. Just use the joystick. It moves the gimball at only 1 speed, but its a slow steady speed which is still good for getting steady footage. It would be cool if DJI incorporated software that allowed it to speed up or slow down from that speed when you push the joystick...but otherwise its a nice feature. If you're new to Osmo Pocket, it is NOT an action cam, and it is NOT a lowlight cam. It's best use is for daytime/sunset vlogging, walking tour, steadycam, or getting high-quality footage in a convenient pocket size. So don't get it wet, and don't try to shoot in near darkness or extreme sports. Everything in your shot is always in-focus, so don't expect the kind of background blurring you get with DSLR's focus. But if you want that kind of blurring, you can do that with Adobe Premiere Pro or Photoshop, so don't worry. I have shot near-DSLR quality footage with this camera and after doing some adjustments in post-production it looks amazing. I highly recommend this camera for vloggers, or for professionals when you need some extra camera work done with convenience. As for the camera, the old pocket advertized a 12 MP camera, this one advertises a 64 MP camera. Normally that would mean the 64 MP would have a resolution almost 5 times the size...but in this case, the resolution is only a little bit bigger, the difference is in the camera's ability to capture detail. I really like this camera, I think its a huge improvement over the original Osmo, for me it is the perfect camera. I personally don't need any other cameras because this one does everything I need it to do. But I know a guy who uses this camera ALONG WITH his DSLR and he gets great footage that he pieces together into a cool video. So try it out. I think you'll like it.

I won't lie I was tremendously skeptic about something this small and lightweight being able to produce any kind of good quality photo. Sometimes you'll get something that advertises one thing but then when you get it there's pixelation and distortion. I was tremendously proven wrong! This thing gives amazing photos and videos! I do videography on the side and one of my obstacles has been packing so much equipment and getting it through airport, to unload it on the other side, to get it into the car and then on to my event. For smaller events that don't require a lot this thing is absolutely amazing. And the best thing is it can fit in your back pocket. The one thing that I did not know in advance is what was needed for live streaming. I assume that once I connected my phone to the camera which provides a bigger screen for you to see what you're filming, I thought that I could stream through my phone. You cannot. You have to have the transmitter that fits into the bottom of this device in order to stream. The device calls $99 here on Amazon. The gimbal itself is very functional and it's tracking. What I mean by that is if you are walking it doesn't necessarily do a quick tracking that sometimes causes the camera to move too quickly. It's more of a slow gentle glide which is great depending on what you're filming. The downside to that is if you're filming something where you are moving rather quickly the gimbal will lose the subject and you'll have to recalibrate it again. All in all I would highly suggest this for anyone looking to do great photos or video while traveling. As far as it being water resistant I do not dare to try that out yet. But I'm currently just enjoying how this works. Battery life could be a little better. After 45 minutes of continuous filming I was down to 27% battery. And that was from it being charged 100%. So if you need to film longer this is a challenge as to the charging port may make it difficult for you to charge and film at the same time. You definitely would not be able to plug in your phone and the charger at the same time on the gimbal. All in all is a great product I highly recommend it

The DJI Pocket 2 completely exceeded my expectations. It’s amazing how much tech they packed into such a small device. The 4K video is sharp and vibrant, and the stabilization from the gimbal makes a huge difference. Everything looks cinematic, even when I’m walking or on the move. Audio quality is great too, especially with the built-in directional mic and optional wireless mic. The compact size makes it perfect for travel, vlogging, or just capturing everyday moments without drawing attention. The interface is intuitive, and with features like face tracking, slow motion, and timelapse, you can get really creative with your shots. Battery life is decent, and it charges up fast. Highly recommended for anyone who wants excellent video quality without the bulk of a full camera setup!

the products are slick.. that is were the divorce begins. i saw this at disney world and purchased this (amazon) and a used OSMO2 smartphone gimble at a local camera store. FIRST AND FORMOST all of the firmware/ softwear from DJI is geared towards APPLE, full stop. ANDROID is more like the floaters that are left in the toliet after an episode of food poising. in order to use the devices you basically have install some spywear app's from DJI , then approve all requests or premissions that will get the device to function. if you use APPLE you are allready a use to this envasive protocol. Android user are not. the applications ( on the android side ) seem to have more software issues because when a kernel update is launched then all kinds of havoc is unleashed. i use older android devices ( 5 years or older ) that dont use certian coding protocalls for newer technology , yet it renders some function useless on either the phone or the device. if you have a device still uses the micro usb your screwed . thier is only a ceritan number of APPROVED devices on the android side that will work with this device .. THEY DONT MAKE THIS CLEAR AT TIME OF PURCHASE (purchased pocket 2 from AMAZON). if the device is not a top tier model ( samsun s9 or s20 etc.) forget about using this pocket2 you will unable to activate it. even if you get an USB adapter. the amount of data and functions they are asking to access is and or control of is alarming . case in point the minio / pocket2 . inorder or use the device it is mandated you attach the device TO AN APPROVED PHONE to register it. WHY ?? its a bloody video camera i OWNE it not DJI . if you fail to do this the pocket 2 becomes inactive.. NOW what DJI??? .. stuiped dumb and insulting towards the consumer, asking premission to use something that i have rightfully paid for is WRONG . punishing the consumer has cost APPLE millions of potential customers. as slick as this these devices are .. look elsewhere not because of the hardwear .. but the awful and hedious softwear and lackluster support.

One of the best handheld gimbals available! This is not a perfect product, but it is a well made, high quality, small, stabilizing 4k video platform that shoots wide enough angle, zooms, has good battery life, & will probably suit your needs if you are looking for something like it. It is a great product. One major drawback, especially if you are not familiar with editing software and plan to use this in multi camera edits, it records multiple files for each recording! If you record a 30 minute video you will get five or six individual video clips . This may or may not be a big deal, but it is definitely an annoyance at best and something I wish I had known before diving into the platform. You Must use the companion app to set up, And the display screen is so small and touch screen controls are so difficult, that you likely will want to use your phone or other mobile device for controls and viewfinder . Fortunately, the companion app really is quite nice and works very well and it is quite easy to clamp your phone onto some type of accessory that holds the camera and phone such that it’s not too big of an inconvenience. For quick impromptu shooting, it’s kind of a pain to always have to turn on your phone and connect to the camera and so you will end up using the onboard controls and screen at least some of the time and they are annoying at best to use, but if you are patient, it does perform the function of capturing great quality cinematographic up to 4k video up to 60 fps. It works best as an auxiliary additional camera to add in to your setup if you already have a Main DSLR, and use this gimbal camera for specifically shots that you just cannot get with a stationary interchangeable lens DSLR because of their size and lack of remotely controllable, stabilizing, & tracking gimbal. I believe that is how it is intended to be used. I originally purchased it while my main camera was broken and it really did not work all that well as a main camera, and I was extremely happy to have my main camera come back online and when I was able to start using the pocket two as an additional camera, just to get both another angle for multicam videos as well as shots that a DSLR cannot get, I became quite pleased with its functionality and performance, but it isn’t suited, and just doesn’t lend itself well to functioning like a regular camera, and probably most people know that going in but I had never had a gimbal Camera, at least not handheld like this one, but overall, for what it is and what it is intended to be used for, it really is an awesome little device. One note, I would definitely either get the creator combo or purchase the do it all handle accessory as well as the wireless microphone accessory that come with the creator combo because they work extremely well with the camera and I cannot imagine using it without both of them. Other accessories are nice but those two are absolutely essential in my opinion, both for ease of use as well as performance. If you want the remote functionality & want to add cinematographic shots to your existing abilities, & have the money to spend on the combo, you will not be disappointed, except possibly by the multiple files, Which I cannot find a way to disable, so if anybody does No how to make it record just one file per recording, please comment! I bought my Pocket 2 as a replacement for my old Osmo Pocket which unfortunately was lost a couple of months ago. I was actually looking towards the GoPro Hero 9 until I discovered that the Pocket 2 was about to come out. So I waited until the specs came out and, when it did, I was pretty impressed! There were a lot of improvements made from the previous Osmo Pocket, some of which were not available to other pocket camera competitors. For one, the sensor is large: It's bigger than the GoPro 9's! Imaging and video capabilities have been ramped up with both AutoFocus and the ability to shoot 64 MP stills. There are two things that I loved about the Pocket 2. The first one is the wider FOV. At 110 degrees (which you can achieve using the add-on wide-angle lens in the Creator Combo package), you can get more in your view without having to use an extender or stretching your arm. While others have wider FOVs, the Pocket 2 has that perfect balance that combines the wider view without that fishbowl look that cameras with wide FOVs often suffer from. The second thing that I like, which you will too, is the improved audio. When it comes to pocket cameras, and even action cameras, you can't get any better than the DJI Pocket 2. It has 4 built-in microphones, and using the Pro mode you can even set which ones you would like to use in order to get crisp and clearer sounds. I've used these in windy days, near traffic, in industrial sites, and I can say that sound quality is top-notch. Other good features, which I don't particularly care for, are the facts that it can now livestream and that it can now do 8x slow motion. Oh, and did I mention that THE DJI POCKET CAN NOW DO ZOOM??? Yes, the Pocket 2 can now do 8x zoom, but you can only do 2x zoom for 4k videos. If you get the Creator Combo, you'll get a bunch of goodies like the Do-It-All Handle which will allow you to connect to WiFi and Blutooth as well as connect to a bunch of other peripherals like mics and tripods.

This is an amazing camera that takes fantastic videos. But there is a steep learning curve and not everything is intuitive. The small touch screen has lots of controls and lets you see what you are shooting provided that you are not in bright sunlight. Fortunately you can connect it to your iPhone but what is not clear is that you can only connect via a tiny solid link that mounts to the camera (not a wire). You cannot carry it around like that. The DJI Mimo app offers little help but once you do get it connected it seems like a fairly good app. What they don't tell you is that if you want to connect via WiFi you have to but either buy the Expansion kit ($60) or the Do-It-All handle ($99). The WiFi connection is rather kludgy in it that actually creates its own router with a separate SSID that you must authorize. It all works fairly easily after you get through about 5 popup windows the first time that you connect. Of course your phone cannot be used for accessing anything else while connected to the camera. The other frustrating thing is that the base unit comes with no memory card. But the Expansion kit does have one. But the base on the expansion kit does NOT have Bluetooth which is a far easier way to connect to an iPhone. But, contrary to what their customer service people told me the Do-It-All handle does have Bluetooth. Sadly that Bluetooth only connects to their remote mike and not to phones. I'm sure that a software fix could remedy this. Currently if you are connected to the camera via WiFi the DJI Mimo features that require an internet connection (like tutorials) do not work. There are lot of YouTube videos on the DJI website but this cameras features are so complicated that they go through things too fast and the explanations are not adequate. But overall it does take fantastic pictures and has lots of features. Just don't look for any help from DJI's customer service which also has very poor phone connections (maybe they are calling from Mars).

The DJI Osmo Pocket 2 is still an excellent portable camera, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned vlogger/content creator. It produces high-quality images and fits right in your pocket; even with the case on. The wrist attachment is a nice touch for convenience. I'd recommend getting a case for the extra attachments, though, as they’re small and could easily get lost. Also, definitely download the app; it makes reviewing footage and working with a bigger screen so much easier. I haven't toyed around with any of the settings and features as of yet, due to being able to capture the content I need with the standard settings. I can only imagine that it will only increase my positive review of this camera, so I definitely highly recommend!

I researched 4K camera's for YouTube content, that are easy to use and provide outstanding quality, and the DJI OSMO Pocket was a major contender. At first, I thought how can this tiny camera do anything spectacular, then after trialing it, I am eating my words. The stability and clarity is outstanding, along with the dolby sound recording in all directions from four microphones. I feel that the accessories, like the wide angle lens, ND filters and extension holder (out of stock) are a little pricey, yet I will be buying those too. I highly recommend this amazing little camera.

Como trabalho com audiovisual, estava em busca de uma terceira câmera para poder realizar trabalhos em multicâmera sem ter que gastar entre 4 e 7 mil reais numa mirrorless nova que gravasse em 4k. Esta DJI Pocket 2 caiu como uma luva, pois grava em 4k 60fps, possui uma estabilização fenomenal, permite gravar com ela estando ligada na tomada, e ainda ganhei uma câmera ultra estabilizada que substitui o uso de uma DSLR/mirrorless num gilbal em filmagens onde não se exige grande profundidade de campo. Além disso, após atualizar o firmware pelo app conectando o smartphone em sua lateral, a câmera ganhou vídeo em HDR e o modo story (vertical). Outro ponto positivo é a duração da bateria: gravei um show com a DJI num tripé em 4k mesmo com aviso de que ela poderia ficar superaquecida, resultando numa captação contínua por 1h40 minutos e ainda sobrou um pouco de bateria e não desligou por causa de seu aquecimento. Ela também possui outros recursos excelentes, como os diferentes modos de timelapse - particularmente o hyperlapse é espetacular, que é o timelapse com a câmera se movimentando lentamente para a direita ou para a esquerda. Também destaco o modo PRO, que permite acionar o Cine D-Like, modo de cores mais lavadas e com alto alcance dinâmico, perfeito para pós-produção em cinema ao aplicar LUTs na edição, sendo que seu perfil de cor se assemelha bastante com o C-Log da Canon e o F-Log da Fuji. Por fim, trata-se de uma legítima câmera de bolso, porém com recursos profissionais. Até mesmo filmando à noite e/ou com pouca luz o resultado é surpreendente. Para Vloggers, deve ser a câmera mais perfeita que existe, ainda mais se adicionar o Creator Combo - fica a dica!

This camera goes everywhere with me, and I absolutely love it. However, if you’ve watched reviews on YouTube, you’ll know that the “Follow Me” sensor—which is supposed to track your movement—doesn’t work very well. This was one of the features I was most excited about, so it’s a bit disappointing. That said, aside from this flaw, I truly enjoy using this device.

Dji pocket 2 delivers an amazing image quality and stability . Great buy I would say. But only one con i found is of battery. Longer backup would have been an cherry on the cake. Otherwise its an awesome buy.
