Great little DVD/CD player for the price.
Very compact little DVD/CD player. volume is great. Picture is clear. The screen tilts so it’s easy to adjust. I’ve used this at home and out camping. It’s a great “extra” to have. One charge lasted me over 5 hours of playing. Great little player at a great price. Super easy to operate.

Nice little player - simple design and functionality
So far, so good. PROS: This little DVD player suits my needs perfectly. Plus, it plays music CD's also, which is what I had hoped. Un-confusing directions and buttons on the unit. Pretty user-friendly. Nice little carrying pouch. Not a lot of bells-and-whistles that I neither want nor need. Simple. Nice clear picture, and surprisingly good sound, which is good since I want to play music on it too. Lightweight (some might say 'cheap', but that's how it is these days). Truly portable, especially with the provided carrying pouch. Good seller, quick delivery. CONS: Yes, it does feel cheap, like most things from China. The on/off switch on the right side of the unit is tiny, hard to reach, and if the power cord is plugged into the unit, it's hard to get your finger in there to flip the switch. A small drawback, but could have been better designed. Clearly, this unit was made for portable use, not necessarily AC plugged-in use. I hope it continues to work nicely for the long-term. Better than the DVD player I bought at Walmart, which actually cost more.

After 1 year of use we are very impressed
This DVD player has been fantastic. We've owned it for almost a year now and it hasn't skipped a beat. The battery life is pretty good for its size, gives a great picture and decent sound. The price is hard to beat, and it just works. Again it's been almost 1 year and it hasn't let us down not once. If I could give 1 gripe it's that the display doesn't quite get dark enough in our opinion. If we watch a movie on it at night it can be quite too bright even on the dimmest setting. But other than that it charges fast, includes both a 120AC charger for home and a 12v charger for the car, also includes a car head rest case so you can mount it on the back of a cars seat head rest for say a child to watch. Fantastic quality portable DVD player for a fantastic price

Great little DVD player
Really nice portable DVD player. It comes with a case to go over a seat in a car, so great for the kiddos to stay busy on trips. Also works as a CD player too. Very clear picture and I can play my rescued discs anywhere. Perfect size for a plane and has a place to plug in head phones.

Not easy to operate, in my opinion
UPDATE: Upping my rating to 5 stars for the customer service as well as the product which now works like a gem! I don't know what I did to get it playing, but I can now watch my favorite DVDs any time, any where. The charge lasts an incredible length of time, and the size is so compact, it is easy to carry it anywhere. I am very happy with this product. I had the hardest time with this thing. I have not owned a portable disc player for several years but had no problem with them when I did, so I thought this one would be fairly straightforward- especially considering the involvement of children entertaining themselves with it in the back seat of a car. The item receives top marks for packaging, with multiple layers of cushioning, and it arrives with everything one could conceivably need for full functionality, including AV cables, a 12-volt plug for cigarette lighter, and a snazzy holder with straps to install on the back of a front car seat for back seat viewing -- as well as a remote. The instruction manual has way too many pages of tiny print and inadequate diagrams of what is to be found where. Too many black on black buttons on the device, and too many buttons on the remote which does not include everything I expected from a remote and which every other remote for any other device I have does have: such as start/stop and rewind. So much of getting this device out of its packaging to actually watching a DVD is difficult to understand and less intuitive than it could be. When I finally got it working, I stopped midway through a DVD I was watching, and put in a different one. The second video started midway through -- apparently at the point at which I took the first one out. I found that annoying -- although I admit I don't have that much experience watching DVDs on a portable player, so that could just be the way they are alls supposed to work. But I don't care for it. Another DVD I put in, the machine, for some reason, interpreted as having been split into several different segments; It stopped after the first segment, and I have yet to figure out how to tell it to play the whole doggone disc at once. All in all I am not at all fond of this item, but as I have got it working somewhat satisfactorily, I suppose I will keep it. I am taking off two stars for my aggravation and general discontentment with the item. To be fair, however, it seems to be very well constructed. The lid not only swivels fully around in either direction, but the whole device can be folded in half backward to so it can be fitted into the car seat holder for back seat viewing. Maybe all of them do this, or this one is unique in this feature, but even though I will never use it in that manner, I thought it was clever. Now, if only the buttons on the remote and the instruction booklet were simplified ....

Great battery life
We don’t let my toddler have much screen time, but we live far from family which can make car rides hard. We decided to try this instead of a tablet and it was a great decision! It’s easy to use, we can attach it to the back of the headrest out of his reach, the picture and sound quality are nice, and you can control it with the remote from the front seat. We usually let him watch one movie on the way there and one on the way back so I know the charge lasts at least two movies.

The buttons on the player rarely work -- have to be pushed repeatedly. The stop button on the left is a prime example: I have to shut the player off and start again. I have played approximately 25+ discs and most of them froze 2/3 times for a few seconds at a time. If the remote control is necessary for this machine to work properly, I did not see that on the Amazon site. Most discs start out with clips from other films - promotions - but while this is playing the sound is extremely loud and it is impossible to reduce the sound. This can only be done when the feature film begins. There seems to be no way to maintain a reasonable sound level, thus I have to put up with the initial excessive noise no matter the time of day or night. The buttons for +/- sound also have to be pushed 15/25 times to get down to a reasonable sound level from 19 to 14 -- if only it would stay there. The fact that the picture quality is very good does not make up for the struggle to get the buttons to work or the screen to freeze now and again.
