Rowing Machine Seat Cushion (Model 3) for The Concept 2 Rowing Machine with Custom Gel That Fits The Concept 2 Rower, WaterRower Pad, Crew Boat, Sculling, Kayak, and Canoe

I have tried 4 cushions since I purchased my Waterrower, which I love. First I started with no cushion. I row at least 4 times a week for over 30 minutes. After a while I realized I needed some additional padding. I tried a thick cushion, but it changed my angle of body position and I realized it was no good on the first pull. Then a used a thin gel cushion which I liked. Over time the gel began to shift and I started looking for a new pad. I tried a thin non-gel pad and it did not provide enough support, then I bought this gel seat cushion. It fits the seat well and stays in place. The gel is thin, but gives enough cushion to be comfortable. I plan to use this pda for a long time to come - I recommend it.

Getting comfortable on any ERG seat is a difficult task. Any rowing over 15 minutes is going to cause discomfort, the seats are hard and there’s only a slight counter. This gel seat pad is not bulky, and makes the ERG seat comfortable for rowing. It’s light weight, well made and doesn’t slip. I think it’s great for any rows up to an hour. Over an hour it offers less comfort but still does the trick. If you’re looking for long term rowing seat covers, you may want to try a thicker option.

The cushion is well made and provides enough support for my morning 2k to 5k rows. It is much better than just using the Concept2 seat alone.

I love this. It fits perfectly. I wouldn’t mind if there was another couple of inches but hey, I row comfortably at little cost. I am 5 foot 10 and I weigh 145 pounds. The comfort of this cushion will depend on your body weight.

It is great and helps cushion the concept 2 seat while rowing I'm able to row for significantly to ger periods. It stays in place and is easy to bring with me to and from my gym. It seems to be good quality and I expect it will last a long time.

I was so hopeful for this. I row about 10 miles a day, so after a while you bum hurts. I researched a few rowing machine cushions and eventually landed on this one based on reviews. For the first few weeks I was impressed. The cushion was really comfortable and did allowed me to go farther with significant less discomfort. Unfortunately, over the course of a few more weeks the cushion seems to have just stopped expanding and returning to its original shape. By now, about 6 weeks later, it is just a flat piece of plastic and offers no more protection or comfort that placing a folded hand towel over the seat. Very disappointing. But it took long enough to occur that by now I can't return it for a refund. So, unless you are willing to spend $30 ever other month, don't waste your $$ on this. Look for something else.

Fits perfectly on my Concept2 Model D rower. Love that it is very thin so it doesn't change the mechanics of the rowing action. Makes a HUGE difference for those "sit" bones and is very stable, hasn't moved yet. I had purchased the foam pad from Concept2 but didn't like that it had to be stuck down or that it was just foam and would deteriorate quickly. This is gel and has a nice cover on it (not removable) and is patterned in such a manner to help it stay in place. I have been working from home since March with increasing back pain that I am now able to point towards my "ergonomically correct" chair. I plopped this little dude down and it felt so much better, so dual use for it!

This has NO CUSHIONING AT ALL! There is no point in this as I bought it for extra comfort?! Yeah, that’s a NO.

No more butt aches. Advice to do hamstring stretches before use as it reduces the chance of butt aches. More comfortable than thicks cushions. Transportable and light

The cushion was too big for a sculling boat seat hence it was returned. It may be ok for a rowing machine seat but the description said it also suited rowing boats which from my perspectives not ideal.
