The lids on these are great not just to prevent spilling, but help to keep your ice from picking up odors and flavors from other food. And if you use the trays to freeze something other than ice, like herb bombs or sauces, it works in reverse, and keeps the odor IN. Just keep your ice trays and herb trays separate... No one wants ice that tastes like garlic!I got my first IceTopper tray at a local store, and liked it so much I wanted more. They no longer carried it, so I found it here on Amazon. When my second set of 4 arrived, one of the snap closures broke the first time I used it (I suspect there was a flaw in the plastic that made it weak). I contacted the seller and they shipped me a replacement immediately!They are easy to fill, and forgiving if you overfill them a bit. Even when overfilled, they are easy to remove by giving the whole tray a little twist to release them all. When using them to store sauces or herb bombs, you can release a single cube by pressing the silicone bottom.I will say that my new set can be difficult to open and close the snaps. I can't recall if my first one was like that in the beginning, but I'm hoping they will get easier with frequent use.

I bought two of these over a year ago at local retail store, and they've been by far the best ice cube trays I've ever used.I often go for months at a time without using a single cube. With other trays, by the time I used a cube, my ice would be almost gone and would taste absolutely terrible. Not so with these trays! The sealed lid keeps the ice in and the taste out. I've left ice in these for six months, and the cubes were as good after that as they were on day one.I also love the flexible bottoms, they make extraction of the ice a breeze! I'm never going back to fighting with traditional ice cube trays.I recently discovered the absolute joy of putting ice in the water I take to work, and now I use these trays almost every day, and have been for about six months, and they're still going strong. That's why I decided to purchase a third tray – I kept almost running out of ice – but hopefully now that's a problem of the past.My only complaint is that the lids are a little difficult to operate. I found that if you squeeze the lid down when you open or close the latch, it works much better. This is definitely not a product for anyone who has trouble with grip strength.

Snaps tightly,easy to remove frozen cubes. Need to keep one closed while filling other side, top is sturdy and tray tips if both open when tray is empty. But works great-no more spills, freezer-tasting cubes, or cracked, flimsy trays!

Good design, easy to use. Larger than standard cubes. The lids are a bit difficult to snap close, especially if not room temp. If forced closed while frozen, they could break.

I am very satisfied with these trays. They are expensive but worth it. My ice maker broke and those other flimsy trays were not working. I’ve had these before so be careful not to slam them with force as they will break. The cubes are not small so very useful

Initially I wrote a 1 star review, but have increased it to reflect the effort of the seller to rectify the situation. Within a couple days of posting my review they did reach out and apologize as well as offer a refund.Original review:Went to wash the tray upon receiving, did an initial rinse, and heard the plastic bits fall off into the sink. Guess I’ll be getting to go out of my way to return this just so I can get a refund or replacement. Yay!

The MyTopper is the best of this style ice tray. Really rugged non-brittle plastic case, flexible red silicone ice cups and cover seal. The plastic case keeps it solid. You don’t want all-silicone ice trays; they flop around. Has held up for two years and so I bought another because they are slim and fit nicely in small freezer. After filling with water, you press and lock the cover down. This keeps water from spilling, keeps debris, like bagel seeds, from getting on the ice, and allows stacking. Excellent product.
