Review: Polar Lights' 1/1000 Defiant (Star Trek Deep Space Nine) is a very nice little kit that is easy to build and exceptionally well engineered. Parts snap together without glue for the younger modeler or more time can be taken by the more skilled modeler. The model has clear parts and lighting could be added by the advanced modeler. The kit's parts fit well and little or no putty work will be required since there are no sinkholes or ejector pin marks visible. Decals include panel detailing so the modeler who wishes to do little or no painting can achieve a fairly realistic-looking model without a whole lot of effort. The model comes with Polar Lights' dome-stand so will make a nice desk-display. This is likely the best of the 1/1000 Star Trek kits done by Polar Lights; it was just really well-done. Highly recommended!
