Rec. From Farrier
Our farrier suggested we get this for our horse with hoof issues. The horse liked it and we added it to the small amount of grain. He did get a stomach ache and think we should have started a little less and work up . His hoof is better after using.

My mare refused to eat this supplement. Has a strong pungent unpleasant odor.
Has a strong unpleasant odor and simply opening the container in the feed room caused me to head for fresh air. The mare I intended to supplement with this simply refused to eat it, leaving behind all of her feed. Thinking that she would finally break down and eat, I tried it another 2 days with fresh mixes morning and evening, which she also refused. The third day I skipped adding the Farriers Formula, and she ate without problem. Farriers Formula went into the trash, and I switched to Animed powder, which she is eating just fine. Perhaps I received a bad or contaminated container?
