outdated but powerful card
Powerful if not outdated cardI purchased 2 of these cards (used in CrossFire) second hand, not of this version, mine have 2 display ports plus a DVI port. I will say without a doubt, these cards are powerful, my machine is a compact CAD station (occasionally used for gaming), even while they don't support Free-Sync, at times I will swear with a part rendered in SolidWorks, if my monitor was higher resolution, I would see my own reflection. All CAD use is exceptional, on par with a newer CAD station in terms of model manipulations with simpler assemblies and designs (consisting of less than 30 unique parts, I have yet to build something more complex yet, they can probably handle something more complex). Downsides, well, with these cards age, when I first got them, they would run SO hot at idle, 50C+, I re did the thermal paste with Arctic Silver, which helped bring temps down to the 40C range, with newer drivers, they set idle fan speed at 55%, which helped temps far better at the expense of (a lot of) noise. Another huge downside of these cards is the (lack) of memory, a gig isn't that much, I haven't hit a wall (as in pulling from system memory), yet, I am guessing because I am running 2 of them. I do highly recommend these cards, the ram limit should be kept in mind, also be aware of the noise of these cards and keep an eye on the temps
