My experience with the Naot Koru collection had me looking for a more cushioned shoe following a foot reconstruction surgery. The Naot Shell collection is now my favorite! They are well made, long wearing and incredibly comfortable. Actually, they are more comfortable than my walking shoes.I was hesitant to try this line due to the platform. The exterior is deceiving. Your foot sits a bit lower inside the shoe and is fairly stable. And they are not heavy on your foot. The area around the achilles tendon is padded and does not rub. The forefoot is very flexible.Tried a 39 in the Shell Sea and it was huge, too long and too wide. Amazon suggested I try a 38 based on other Naot purchases. Right on the money! The 38 was the perfect fit, even with orthotics. The fit for the Lagos is consistent with what I have found with other 38 Shells (Sea, Coast, Surf, Atlantic and Cruise). My normal US shoe size is a 7.5.I wore these today, from 900AM to 730PM. No foot pain. And they looked great with my black dress.

I have HORRIBLE feet! They are extra wide, and I have an aggressive form of arthritis cousing much pain and deformation. Needless to say, finding shoes is very difficult. I read reviews for many shoes before deciding to try these- I need shoes to wear to work, especially for the colder weather. I couldn't be happier with these shoes- I finally arrive to the end of the work day, and can still walk to my car without excruciating pain! If you don't have chronic foot pain, then you can't imagine what a blessing it is to have some relief, but if you are reading this because you are trying to decide if your horribly wide and painful feet can manage these shoes, I encourage you to give them a try. I have custom orthotics; these come with a removable orthotic footbed, but I found no need to take them out and put in my own; the footbed has sufficiently supported my flat arches and painfully disinegrating joints. I'm not pain free, but the pain is not excruciating anymore. Thank God for my Naots! I am not giving 5 stars, however, for one reason- I cleaned my floor with bleach, and there are bleach spots on the shoes, which is dissappointing; I would give 5 stars if they were color-fast/ bleach resistant.

These are terrific shoes. I bought another pair of Noats and was not disappointed with them either. The only issue is that they are soooo expensive. But I've been told they will last for year. Highly recommend if you're on your feet all day or just have problem getting shoes that fit and feel good.

I could tell that these shoes would have been just as comfortable as my other Naot shoes if only they had not run so large. I would've exchanged them got a smaller size but they were sold out.

These NAOT shoes keep my feet from hurting at work and give the arch support I needed.
