I love pour-over coffee, but I had a hard time finding something big enough to make more than one cup at a time. Big Joe is perfect — I can easily brew 3 cups at once, and it works great with my thermal pot to keep the coffee hot. I was about to buy an expensive pour-over machine, and I’m so glad I didn’t spend several hundred dollars when this does the job beautifully. I love the size, and the handle makes it easy to use. Highly recommend!

My Mom has one from an old coffee machine that she uses which inspired me to get one for myself. This was the closest I could find to what I was looking for. It works great, but keep in mind it is much larger that what mom used to have. Works great, easy to use, and meets all expectations of a coffee connoisseur.

Great low-tech way of brewing a large amount of Joe. Just be patient pouring the hot water or you will get grounds in the pot. No accounting for user error. I didn't read the instructions, but i make a whole gallon at a time with this thing. Dense heat-resistant plastic does not warp under the heat. Light weight and great for camping or preparing a large amount of chilled coffee for the fridge. No moving parts. No electricity. Easy to clean. Takes up little space. Just buy it.

Update 05/19/2023--We have been using the Big Joe pour over for a few years now and we still like the way it works but we are starting to see the plastic degrade and break off on the fins inside the Big Joe, plus it is still just made of plastic which we try to avoid when possible especially with hot foods and liquids. So we bought a Bunn 20216.0000 Funnel Assembly made with Stainless Steel thinking it would replace the Big Joe plastic pour over. The stainless steel funnel does not work as well as the Big Joe but it does work. I wish Big Joe would come out with a stainless steel version. Big Joe has also got too expensive, up 50%, for a piece of plastic. We are keeping the plastic Big Joe as a back-up but the stainless steel funnel is now our go to pour over even though it doesn't work quit as well. We believe that the stainless steel funnel is better for our health. Original Review--We had been using a coffee press for our coffee maker and we enjoyed it until we found out that press coffee can raise your cholesterol a little. Since I have a problem with my cholesterol, every little bit helps. The reason pour over coffee like the Big Joe makes is better for your cholesterol is because it uses a paper filter. There are lots of articles on the internet about the study that revealed the issue with press coffee and cholesterol. The reason I like the Big Joe better than other pour over coffee makers is it's size. It will make the 48 oz of coffee my wife and I drink everyday with only one pour over and one filter. Most other pour over devices make significantly less coffee from each pour over. A few other tips; the BUNN 12-Cup Commercial Coffee Filters work great in Big Joe and are cheaper. I also use the Coffee Gator True Brew Coffee Gooseneck Kettle on my gas stove to boil the water and perform the pour over. But don’t use the silicone insulation jacket that comes with the Gator on a gas stove, it might melt. The reason I chose the Gator is because it will boil enough water to make 48 oz of coffee in the Big Joe coffee maker.

Does exactly what is says and works well. Sturdy and good quality. Knocked off a star because is it absurdly over-priced for a piece of molded plastic. This thing should retail for about $15. Clearly the manufacturer is gouging because of the lack of competitors. Shipped in its original box which was pretty beat up on arrival, but no damage inside.

The Big Joe is sturdy and very easy to use. I would recommend buying the Big Joe coffee filters since it is a larger, unique size. I love the easy cleanup and portability of this setup!

This is my replacement for my Clever coffee dripper that I’ve loved for years. And boy am I happy, not only is it straight forward and simple but I can make me and my wife pour over coffee in one motion. No more breaking chemex glass carafe's for me anymore. Plus I can use basic coffee filters it’s a win win !!
