4.5TB of easy storage
Labeled as a 5TB external drive, actualy 4.5TB. I understand it likely needs software for functionality/compatibility, but 500GB is heavy. However it's plug and play. No formatting or difficult setup so idk why other reviews have said that...

Perfect for PS5
Got this to add storage to my PlayStation 5. It works great! Clears up so much space and allows me to continue to download more things! 100% would suggest.At the price this is a must buy for anyone with a PS5.

Will not initialize
The drive would not read, format or initialize, on 3 different PCs. It's my 5th Seagate drive but will likely be my last. Seagate would not provide support so I had to return it to Amazon. I am disappointed with the lack of quality or support.

The Toolkit software screwed up my computer!
POS software screwed up my computer, put on one drive crap and now none of my drive perform even close to what they did before. Pure crap!

Good product overall. Very happy so far. I like the auto backup function.
A little complicated to set up but good overall.

シーケンシャルライトが遅い
GoProで撮影した映像データはNASに保存して家中のパソコンやテレビで再生出来るようにしていますが、長期旅行時などは一旦ポータブルHDDに保存して帰宅後NASへコピーすると共に、データはそのまま残して万が一のNAS不具合に備えています。もちろん、GoProのクラウドにもバックアップしていますが、ひかり回線とはいえどストリーミング再生するには厳しいので、やはりローカルでのバックアップ環境は大事ですね今までは、IO-DATA製HDPT-UTS2K/E（2TB）を使っていましたが、容量が一杯になってしまったので、5TBのこの製品（STKC5000400）を購入しました。旧モデル？Expansion STKM5000400はインターフェースがUSB3.1 Gen1で価格的にもちょっとお安かったのですが、こちらのSTKC5000400はUSB3.2 Gen1という事だったので選びましたが、速度的には今までのIO-DATA製HDPT-UTS2K/E（2TB）と比較するとシーケンシャルライトが遅くやや不満ですねまぁ、製品保証3年間、データ復旧サービス(Rescue)3年付という事なので、そちらに期待しています。
