These clamps are a slight upgrade from the cheap plastic cast quick-clamps I usually purchase. Slightly pricier, significantly superior, but ultimately still plastic. Cast iron bodies still have their place when clamp force is high and jaw deflection is unacceptable. For my current needs, this plastic is perfect. Good clamping force, modest deflection, and a pliable mechanism. Most importantly, no slipping along the slide. I'm very pleased after 6 months of weekend use. The signature ability to attach clamps end-to-end for purposes of extension turned out to be more useful and more usable than expected, and their build quality and clamping force are commendable. If I have any criticism, it is that they are a little bulkier than I expected. The clamp heads are perhaps a half inch larger in all dimensions than comparable cheap-o clamps, so there is a drawer that simply doesn't hold these clamps where it did hold others. Hopefully that bulk adds durability. Beyond that... I like their build feel, unique features, and effectiveness very much. Great clamps.

Great quality

Jorgensen clamps are better than most in my opinion. The bar clamps work perfectly for my applications. They allow quick and easy clamping with one-hand operation.

I really like these! Comfortable sure grip and reversible to use as a spreader. Just wish they weren’t so expensive!

I don't think I can say anything more about the clamps that hasn't already been said. They have been great to have in my kit. Recently, I was using them as a "spare hand" while building up some 24' beams while replacing a bridge over a stream on our property. The beam I was layering rolled on my and broke my clamp. The end part of the clamp snapped, which surprised me as these have proven to be extremely rugged over the years. I reached out to Pony/Jorgensen customer service to inquire about purchasing a replacement end to the clamp. I was surprised this morning to hear back from them that they will be sending out the replacement part at no cost to me. These clamps have been fantastic. And if it takes a 300-400 lb beam rolling on them to break, that's just a testament to how well made they are.

I looked at the other reviews and gave these a try. I like the heavy duty and deeper throat than others. They are nice and sturdy and I even like the pressure gauge to see the relative force I am applying. I have a helper that tends to overdo it so I can keep an eye on it. LOL
