Excellent Little Amp for DIY Bluetooth Projects I used the ZK-1002T Bluetooth amp in a custom portable speaker box powered by an 18V battery, and it absolutely delivered. For such a compact unit, it puts out plenty of clean power—more than enough to drive my 6.5” marine speakers with solid volume and clarity. Bluetooth pairing is quick and reliable, and the sound quality is surprisingly good, especially for the price. I also like that it supports both Bluetooth and aux input. The compact size made it easy to mount inside the case without overheating or needing extra ventilation. Just be aware that there are no instructions included, so if you’re new to wiring or amps, you may need to reference some diagrams online. But for DIYers who know their way around a project, this amp is a solid choice. Highly recommend for anyone building a battery-powered sound system or portable speaker setup.

Works well for my diy boombox. No static/hiss like some of the cheap(er) ones.

I joined a Facebook group for building speakers, and these little amplifiers were highly recommended. I completely concur. This little thing is awesome! The Bluetooth connectivity is great! It is very easy to connect and has good range. I am using a full range, medium quality marine speaker and hooking up to an 18-volt battery (actually pushes 20.2v). If you run this amp with the volume all the way up, it will be distorted. I turn the volume to around the halfway point on the amp, adjust my bass and treble accordingly (a little more than the mid-way point for each), and then just control my volume from whatever device I am playing the audio from. This thing is excellent for the price, and it easily competes with some of the expensive store-bought systems. It is a definite bonus that it comes with the plug, and it includes a mini screwdriver for your wire terminations. The attached photo is not the finished build, but I had to test it out!

Funny little assembly project to tinker with. Good output, reasonable power requirements, Bluetooth audio quality no different from the aux in. Only a couple nitpicks from me: Small screws for the output wires that can't be used with large connectors, and I can't enable/disable bluetooth... I live in an apartment complex and my upstairs neighbor keeps accidentally connecting because I run the amp on its aux with my PC. I can't disable the aux with a physical switch to prevent this, and the BT remains open and in search mode. I also can't rename the BT connection internally to say something like "APT xxx BT amp" to let people know MY device isn't the one they're looking for when they try to connect to their devies.

Great little amp. I will say you must be careful with the volume knob. With an 18v input, if you keep the treble and bass knobs in the middle, you can not go over 55-60% on the volume knob otherwise the amp will clip. If you go all the way on either bass or treble, you will clip around 40-45% on the volume knob. The remaining amount left on the volume knob doesn't get louder, just dirtier. All testing done with oscilloscope. With that being said, this amp will do its rated power. At 18v, I was getting around 17 volts per Channel before the amp clipped. This was playing various test tones through Bluetooth for worst case and to see how clean the Bluetooth DAC is. For a 4 ohm speaker, that is around 90 watts rms this amp was providing with a solid test tone. I am really impressed. 2 items I would recommend to the manufacturer is include a small Phillips head gain adjustment on the board so the user can set the amp gain properly. Second, include some mounting standoffs so you can screw the amp into what ever project you are working on. For the negative reviews, I believe the amp is cutting out or quit working due to clipping itself to death if the user has not tested for their application. Highly recommend if you want an all in one that has Bluetooth, wide voltage range, and EQ all built in.

This unit worked great. Connects very easily via bluetooth. Puts out plenty of power for two 6” speakers and a tweeter. Running 2 old 6” speakers from my car and 1 tweeter with this unit on a 5ah Milwaukee m18 battery with 12v adapter. Battery easily lasts 4 hrs on half volume (which is loud). Best part is if it does die I have multiple batteries on hand. Does obviously need a 2 way crossover for the tweeter. Cons of this unit would be that it’s not already put together. Which is odd to me because you can attach the speaker wires in with the outer casing installed. Screws are very tiny that come with it. Also I do get a small amount of interference with the bluetooth but not enough to annoy me. Could be the power source.

This thing works great. Its currently powering one 4" marine speaker and it sounds good. For being a customer project I did have to play around with the equalizer on the amp and sound settings on my phone but after tinkering around with it its quite good. For my build it pulls hardly any power, peaks low volume about .01 amps, peaks low to mid volume about .5 amps and mid to high peaks 1 amp. It is a good compact size.

Works great some distortion when maxed out but that could be speakers or the fact I'm running it at 18v
