Looks good .
Made it in 1 piece with no damage and looks great . Just used it today for the first time paired with an SLX DC reel, and this rod bombs lures a country mile . Really smooth, and very well made . I love it

Purchased the 7' Moderate Fast and the 7'6' MH Moderate Rods
I purchased the 7' Moderate Fast and the 7'6' MH Moderate Rods and love them! They both handle 4 to 7 pound Bass perfectly either from the bank or a kayak. I use the 7' for shorter casting/flipping/pitching and the 7'6" for further cast with chatter baits and crank baits. The 7'6" rods throws the two baits super far without much effort and pair nicely with a Shimano Scorpion DC reels (7.1 on the 7' rod and 8.2 on the 7'6" rod).I did by the 8' Tournament Heavy Fast rod for Swim Bait and Umbrella Rigs and really love that rod too. Abu Garcia does make a solid competitive rod for their price ranges.Just an FYI, The Abu Garcia Store (https://www.amazon.com/stores/PureFishingBrands/page/66E7C0BF-FBD0-4E52-B106-DE26F708D9AD?ref_=ast_bln) is not directly run by Abu Garcia. Abu Garcia told me directly that the Abu Garcia Store on Amazon is completely run by Amazon and Abu Garcia is not affiliated in any way. I point this out because if you need to file a warranty issue with Abu Garcia directly, you need to jump through many hoops to prove the purchase, the model purchased (Amazon receipt is not always accurate) and share many photos of the broken rod. Purchasing an Abu Garcia rod through Abu Garcia directly or a Sport's store way easier.I am not sharing to dissuade from buying through Amazon (I buy a lot from Amazon), but to inform you when you have to file a warranty through Abu Garcia.

Good bang for the buck
For rods at the same price point this one. I nought a 7 foot two piece ML fast. I am very happy with considering the price. The guides are firmly mounted. It is a comfortable rod to hold, it is light weight too. So far it has been pretty durable because it got slammed in the tonneau cover.

Fishing Pole was great. Amazon shipping is horrible.
The fishing pole was great except it arrived broken. The Amazon shipping box was 10 times the size it needed to be, ultimately the pole found its demise bouncing around in such a big box and broke the upper part of the pole in half. Shipping was also a day late, and waited to start my fishing vacation trip until this pole arrived. It was a bait casting rod that was able to break down for travel, which is actually hard to find at stores.

Great Rods!!
Love these rods. Great rods. Delivery from seller hasn’t been good. Ordered 3. Received 1. USPS says they attempted delivery but didn’t. Had to go pick the 2nd one up and it was broken. Now have to go pick up the 3rd and hope it isn’t broken.

Great rod for the money if you can buy it discounted.
While there are certainly better offerings from Abu. The Veritas has it's own place carved out. I like to think of the Veritas as a duty or EDC rod, if that makes any sense. Your not so worried if it gets a few nicks or scratches. A great entry level rod for the aspiring fishermen/women as well. I have three of these rods ranging from ML to H. I always take these if I'm heading out on the yak or in the Jon. The blanks are sensitive if you have them paired correctly to your lure type. Weight is decent and comfort (epescially on the revised Veritas) is actually pretty good. Veritas's are fairly sensitive and again paired correctly are capable of casting good distances. While I personally wouldn't give retail for this rod, if you shop around and are patient you can find it for 30 and sometimes 40% off, at that price it's a great deal. For the 100$ mark, nothing is going to touch a St.Croix BassX, Daiwa Tatula XT, or (love these rods) a Sprialite. However Rods in the 100$ and under price point are all going to have their vices. Bottomline the Veritas is a good rod, if your an Abu person (like me) they are another decent rod to add to the rack. However, I would highly recommend you to save up just a little bit more and go for the Abu Garcia Villain 2.0. Incredible and well worth any extra money you put up for it. Check out the reviews on Tackle Tour or Wired to Fish. Always remember Abu rods tend to run a little stiff on their power rating. There is a lot of competition at this price point these days. Do your research. In closing I will again mention, if you can acquire this rod for 80$ or less, you just cant go wrong, anything more and look at the other rods I mentioned or step up to the next level by Abu the difference is unbelievable. Best of luck.
