The right tool for the job
If you’re going to install a patio or long walkway yourself, get one of these. If you take care to leave the pavers slightly more than 3/8” apart, it’s then easy to use this tool to pour stone dust in the cracks and use the rounded edge to compact the dust.

Excellent quality
Excellent build quality, as one would expect from Marshalltown. It's one solid, cast piece, so nothing to fall off break. Nice and heavy. Seems like a tool that will be lasting for quite some time.

pretty hard to screw this up
It's a piece of steel with some curves in it....pretty hard to screw this up! Worked just fine for pointing the bricks on my fire pit, and the wider end was nice for smoothing wider joints between natural stones.
