Foul, dubious marketing claims
First whiff of it is foul. Taste is almost as bad. It definitely contains a lot of yeast and is fermenting into alcohol… you can taste the fizz of it on your tongue and it has a bitter, sour, taste, like spoiled beer. I made heirloom cultured yogurt for years and this is not good, this tastes like it contains a random assortment of bacteria and yeast that aren’t complementary, so it just undergoes imbalanced fermentation to the point of smelling/tasting spoiled. I’d hazard a guess that they are not sanitizing wild yeasts in their ingredients (like coconut meat), and that there may be an overgrowth of yeast in the product (which can kill off probiotics). Just because they’re throwing 16 kinds of bacteria in here doesn’t mean that all of them are surviving or benefitting you. I ate less than a spoonful of this and threw it out.

Coconut Cult
I purchased at this at Whole Foods after reading about the health benefits. The first teaspoon was a little rough, but it actually has a nice coconut aftertaste. I now take one tablespoon a day in the morning. My daughter bought the chocolate and the strawberry flavors. They are delicious but a little higher in carbs/sugar.

This yogurt has the important "bugs" and a lot of them!
This product comes in a number of different flavors and they are all good. The yogurt is loaded with the important bacterial species so the jar actually lasts four days. I used to make my own coconut yogurt with the keystone species., but stopped doing that when I "discovered" Coconut Cult.
