Happy with my purchase.
It works as expected, the vision is sharp and clear, the headset itself feels pretty solid and the materials seem to be of great quality for the money. I was surprised because it is way more comfortable than I thought when I saw it in pictures. I was having a hard time making up my mind whether getting this VR Headset or Mattel's new ViewMaster, I based my final decision on the faux leather and spandex adjustable straps featured on Topmaxions' because I figured my arms would probably had gotten tired of holding the ViewMaster for long periods of time. It is really suiting and lets you completely immerse in the VR experience with ease. Another thing I really liked about it is the fact that I don't have to take off my glasses when using it. I would recommend this headset to anyone that wants to try this technology for the first time and doesn't feel much comfortable spending a couple of hundreds on something they surely haven't experienced yet.

Decent for the price, but alot of these reviews are misleading.
I guess I was a little naive heading into this experiment of mine to test out a cheap vr headset. For anyone that hasn't tried one. Don't get your hopes up too much. This could possibly be fairly decent for our time but based on many other reviews I read on here prior to my purchase, I was set up for failure. Now I do like the build quality and the overall product. But I guess I was anticipating a higher quality product. Cons: The adjuster panels for adjust the lenses to clear up your perspective are not nearly sensitive enough and are never really that close to crystal clear. Also, if you like YouTube and wanted to watch something on there, get goggles because it severely hinders your ability to use their goggle function because every time you push the button without a Google pair, YouTube asks you to register your Google goggles. Which can get very annoying. Also the fact that it is never all that clear leads to severe headaches after only a few minutes of use as in 30> minutes. Pros: good quality parts, cheap, decent for the price, just don't expect too much. I wanted to be as reasonable and possible in my review because I wanted to give it half a star. But in all honesty what led to my disappointment was being misled by all the reviews raving the quality of these. Don't be misled. The experience doesn't exceed the price tag.

Great product considering the price
I bought this for my 13-year-old son to experiment with VR. For the price it's a good buy. The lenses adjust easily and it was able to hold his phone (HTC One) with the case on, which makes it much easier to use. I only have 3 minor issues with the headset: No magnetic button, bad placement of included touch button. Google cardboard figured out a very clever, incredibly cheap way to put a button on a headset using two magnets. To include one on this headset might have added as much as a dollar to the price, which would be well worth it. The headset does have one button that actually contacts the screen. It's a better design than magnetic button, but unfortunately Tapmaxions put it right where Google Cardboard apps have the "settings" icon, and settings are not in VR mode. For half the apps we've tried the button is useless because of it's location. However, there's a work-around (see next item) No Android configuration QR code in the documentation or on the box. This is a QR code you can photograph with your phone that configures it for use with your Android phone. I've included one in the customer photos for a competitor's headset that works for this headset. This QR code tells Android that your headset has no buttons. This gets around the issue of the included button being right where the settings icons is in many apps. With the 'no buttons' configuration, you'll be asked to look at something and hold a cursor there for a couple of seconds to select, rather than pushing a button. No nose pad: When my 13-year-old wears this a lot of the weight is on his nose. There's no pad inside the nose area, so the plastic corner was digging into his skin. It's probably not designed for smaller heads, but a small piece of foam in the nose area fixed it for him, and make it more comfortable for me to wear as well. The unit is very lightweight, which is a big plus. The plastic is also a little flexible which means it ought to stand up to kid-use. Considering this costs only slightly more than paper models, it's well worth it.

When I received it the box looked like it was thrown
When I received it the box looked like it was thrown. The packaging was actually really good it may have been shipping and handling issue or I was probably given a returned or used product. There was a little pouch with nothing inside of it but based on it's indentation it's where the magnet was supposed to be. The magnet was just free floating inside the box outside of it's packaging. I used a toothpick to help me attach the straps because it's quite difficult just to use nails. 2 of the 3 straps have threads hanging on them so I had to cut it off. When I opened it I found a small piece of broken lens. The instruction said to take the phone case off and clean it before you attach it, well, it didn't hold my phone and it drops to the bottom. I used my phone case and it's able to hold it. I kept seeing 2 screens and I thought it was because of that piece i found, but i adjust and readjust and probably my eyes and brain adjust too and I finally got it to work. The lens is a little blurry and it lowers the video quality. This product is probably great on most cases I just happened to get a faulty one or a mishandled shipment.

Great for what it advertises!
First thing to be aware of – this isn’t Oculus Rift, so if you’re looking for something like that on your phone, you’ll be disappointed. It is, however, a good device if you want to experience a small 3D theatre on the go. I tested it with a few augmented reality applications for Android and it worked admirably, (make sure you attach the phone centered on the pad, otherwise you won’t see things that well) it also includes a small button that you can use to interact with the phone pause videos and the like during playback. There are small spaces that could theoretically fit a charging/headphone cable, but I was able to use them with a pair of Bluetooth headphones. There are small slide mechanisms to adjust the view if it seems out of place, which helps if the phone is centered but the device doesn’t look right from the view. All in all, pretty cool device that does what it advertises, and I received it in exchange for unbiased feedback. All in all, pretty cool.

Just didn't work
I was very excited to get this in the mail because I thought it was going to be a great expirience for a rather cheap price. but what ended up happening was a very confuzing and naucious expirience. I personally have a samsung galaxy s6 edge plus. And when that display was a screwed up I thought the phone was too big, So I tried my sisters iphone 6, just a normal one, not plus. And it still didn't work. So I read the manual one more time and realized that on the top there were optical sliders. So I thought my problem was solved, but the scree still looked wierd and it just doesn't fit right

Great VR headset - recommended.
This VR headset works great. I plan to purchase one or two more of these for myself and my other boys. I enjoyed watching the ocean videos. We have been fussing over who gets to use them next.:) The headset is very well made and much better quality than I expected because of the low price. The instructions are easy to understand, and tell you exactly where to find free VR videos, apps, and games. (There are plenty to choose from). My son who is 12 watched Ice Age 3D last night with this headset. He has also found a virtual reality waterpark game which is his favorite. He said this headset is the best gift he's ever gotten.

It's decent, with some issues.
the good: + It's pretty comfy and solid. + Works just fine with my glasses on, no discomfort. + Looking at 360-degree videos with this is pretty impressive. + Capacitive button is better than magnet ring designs. the bad: - It's white. This isn't a problem for aesthetics reasons, it means the light from the phone reflects off of the inside, breaking immersion pretty heavily. - It seems to be made for somewhat larger phones than a standard Galaxy. - It doesn't really fill my view too well, it's a tad like looking through a portal. - It's a bit heavy on the face. notes: * Use in a dark room to avoid light leaking in from the outside world. * Push down a tad on the eject button looking logo on the front to expose the camera to the world, don't try to slide it like (even though it looks like it should slide off, not pop off) * Turn off the phone's button lights (eg, on the Galaxy). * It's big. As in, it extends pretty far off the face. final comments: * The low FOV and the amount of light from the phone reflecting are the primary reasons for taking away 2 stars. Really, if the display filled more of my vision, it'd be an easy 5/5. Could just be my phone. * I haven't gotten nauseous or particularly dizzy while using it, but I do feel a bit dizzy going back into reality after using it for a while. * I wish there were more programs for VR. There's really not enough.
