Cover separated
The media could not be loaded. I research ALOT before I buy. I loved all I read about the ZenArt journal features for bullet journalling like it lies flat, has a pocket, page numbers, index pages etc. I realized also how much I came to love the size .I travel alot so bought one of each colour in Dec 2020 and now as I started using the orange one, the cover separated . 🤔I love the feel of the pages and I dont mind the not of bleed through as I dont illustrate... just take notes and a few doodles . I will glue the cover but still.. was not expecting this.

Great for notes and bullet journaling
I bought two of these expecting to use one for my bujo and one for my college courses. I haven't started my new bujo yet but these were the perfect size for tracking grades and taking notes for class. Minimal ghosting with highlighters and pens. No issues with paper when using erasable ink. Lovely colors and vegan, which is hard to find.

I love this company and this journal.
This is the second time I've bought this journal, and I so totally wish I could give it 5 stars across the board. The paper quality is super high, the little details like the end pages and the edging are gorgeous, and it's just a lovely journal. I'm a bullet journaler so I'm in and out of this journal every single day, and this one hasn't held up like I'd hoped. The cover (which is buttery soft) is pulling away from the backing and nothing I do keeps it stuck together. I may not buy another one just because of how badly it's pulling apart.

Journal delight!
The media could not be loaded. When it comes to the ZenArts Supplies Bullet Journal-Modernista Series(Turquoise) I was highly impressed due to its overall packaging, appearance, useful journal facets, and the creative personal touch to the journal! First off, its appeal from first sight was a real delight because the Turquoise color was very eye pleasing as well as the running red fox design on the side pages of the journal! I also appreciated how the journal was packaged carefully in plastic and had no damage whatsoever. Secondly, the journal cover itself was smooth and bendable if you wanted to easily write or draw anywhere. I love how I could flip through pages if I wanted to but I wouldn't need to because there was page numbers if i wanted to find something I worked on. Thirdly, the journal was super organizational because of the index it contained in the first pages of the journal and the page numbers throughout the journal. You could honestly never misplace anything meaningful to you. There is also 2 journal book strings (turquoise and white) to help if you dont want to loose your place and walk away for a minute as well as storage at the back of the journal for anything you want to store (ideas, scrapbook inspiration). I thoroughly enjoyed the dotted design in the journal because it helped me stay steady with my drawings and I actually made more symmetrical lines to my actual sketches and ended up creating some neat artwork! I never used a bullet dotted journal so it was really exciting to try something new! I really loved the personal touch from the design artist of the journal because it included a positive quote in the beginning and ended with an informative definition at the back of the journal about the traditional Japanese design of the fox on the side, front, and back insides of the journal. The journal contains a thin paper like a notepad feel which I wouldnt suggest watercolor but this is a journal to write and sketch rather than paint in because there is watercolor paper for that. Overall, this writer/artist is highly happy with this journal!

Aside from thin pages, very nice bullet journal
Overall I really liked this little bullet journal. The first thing that I noticed when I got it was the beautiful, soft faux leather cover. So cute and so fun to touch and rub! My favorite feature of this journal was the page numbers and index in the front. I wish all journals had these! It makes it so much easier to note and keep track of important things on different pages without having to go hunt for it. I also really appreciated the overall simple design – nothing on the pages but dots and page numbers. Everything else is up to you to design how you like. The elastic strap is also very convenient, and double ribbon markers are a very nice touch. The fold-out pocket inside the back cover can also be a real lifesaver when it comes to receipts and other important little bits of paper. The only thing I would like different about the journal is for the pages to be a bit heavier. 68 lb is a little thin for me, but this is just personal preference. I guess the advantage of thin pages is that you can fit more in the book, which some people would probably prefer, but personally I would take fewer pages that can handle more of my media preferences, like heavy pens, sharpies, and a little watercolor. That being said, I was impressed with the quality of the paper for only being 68 lb. A few of the pens I used on it (specifically my Sakura Micron pens) could be seen thru the backside of the page, and because of this I would hesitate to use both sides of the pages, but none actually bled thru. (It’s true when they say it’s “ink-proof”.) I also did a very light watercolor on one page, with just a tiny bit of paint and a damp brush pen. The page warped a bit, but nothing soaked thru to the other side. I don’t think most 68 lb paper would hold up as well as this does.

Buttery Cover - Quality Journals
Cover is buttery soft suede-like and very bendable. The paper is great quality. Perfect amount of dot spacing for creativity and has page numbers and a table of context. I’m being grammatically lazy today on this review ironically, but I highly recommend. I’m on my 3rd one and I have another on the way. My stories and secrets have just poured out of my soul and onto these pages with ease.

Bullet journallers beware!!!
I bought this to use as a bullet journal, which meant I’ve spent a lot of time drawing in layouts, illustrations, and design ready to use in the New Year as my diary. In the first couple of weeks the elastic band came unglued out of the back. A week or so later the spine came unglued from the cover. Just now one of the two ribbons that mark the pages came off (which prompted me to write this review).I use it daily as a diary / journal and its out and about with me in my handbag, but hasn’t had anything more than the usual wear and tear I don’t think (diaries in the past have lasted me longer than a month!!).The book looks beautiful but is falling apart to the point of being unusable. I’ll be asking for a refund and going back to a moleskin, (which is a shame because the design on the edges of the paper is lovely), but even with a refund, the hours I spent on hand drawing the layout can’t be returned. Please improve the quality of this product!

Massive fan of this dot journal!!!
I have been using this product for a little while now, and I absolutely love it. I finally feel more organised and less stressed out and surprised as I’ve been able to create calendars and trackers for exactly what I need. The paper that is used in this is so soft and smooth, it can handle being sketched on and erased several times and doesn’t feel like it is wearing down, which is good if you like to self edit before committing to inking. It can handle inks well although it isn’t designed for watercolours and some inks may bleed through a little, if you don’t mind seeing a slight previous shade then this won’t be a problem for you, I find doing a test page at the back helps me work out which materials to use first. It feels very sturdy and you don’t have to be too delicate with it which is good as often I am quickly grabbing it to add notes to my journal. It also comes with labels and little tabs too which if you are ocd like me it is really handy being able to see quickly where information is in your journals without having to go through page by page or using the index at the front of the journal.Very happy with this product and would definitely recommend if you are new or a big time fan of journaling. Great product.

Great service from ZenART
My original review gave this journal one star because the elastic closure broke before I had even used the book.Sometimes things go wrong, and I believe the measure of a business is how they try to put things right.Salvatore, Beatrice and the team at ZenART went to great lengths to ensure I got a replacement. I am surprised how seriously they take customer service. These days everyone says they care about customers, but ZenART has proved they mean it.I will absolutely buy from these folks again, as I have complete confidence in them delivering on their promises. And the journal is lovely too :-)

Actually not all that fountain pen friendly!!
I ordered this notebook since the description suggested it was “fountain pen friendly”.The notebook itself is lovely, the cover is soft & bright, it looks classy and well made. The paper is thick, slightly off white, faint dot grids, lined contents pages and has a document pocket with a little discount voucher against future purchases. The page edges are decorated in contrasting coloured patterns and it looks really eye catching.I’m also liking that the book comes in B5 size, something which is hard to come by in fountain pen friendly notebooks. The downside here is that the paper is not all that fountain pen friendly. It takes some inks well, but others not so much. The inks feather quite a bit (even usually well behaved ones), and they ghost/bleed through despite the heavy paper stick (advertised at 120gsm).The photos show the feathering and ghosting/bleed through from inks that are usually really well behaved. I’d expect some bleeding/feathering from Noodlers ink, but not from the Diamine, Colorverse & Vinta inks, which I’ve never really seen bleed/feather on anything other than cheap copy paper. If you’re after a really pretty, B5 notebook with quality paper, 2 marker ribbons, doc pocket etc then this is for you. If you’re a fountain pen user, with a number of inks from different manufacturers it might be better to avoid these.I’d also say that these are slightly over priced, they’re pretty, but they’re not a £20 notebook, I’d say a more realistic price is £10-£12 maximum.

Good quality and great customer service
Star rating updated after being contacted by an amazing customer service: they promptly sent me a replacement for free, thank you!——I bought 2 of these: one lavender blue and one orange. The orange one is perfect. The lavender one is completely different: first, it was delivered in black colour (but there was the incorrect bar code on it) the logo on the cover is different, the cover is way bigger than the pages (like if it’s badly cut), there’s a long glue mark on the cover, the pages are flimsy, the inner side of the cover is not printed (unlike the orange version) and they’re stiff. It looks like this is an older version of this notebook. Please Zen Art check your stock and call back these older versions, they’re not worth the price.—-Zen Art contacted me and sent very quickly a replacement that is as beautiful as the Orange notebook, thank you!
