This item did not appear the first time I was searching for Bento-style lunch boxes. I found it when I was searching again and it appeared to have the features I was looking for. I often commute to work by bicycle wearing a backpack, so several criteria had to be met: rectangular size & not to wide, microwavable, a good seal and lightweight. It certainly helped that this was priced significantly lower than the other boxes I had looked at. Have used it about 1/2 dozen times and love it. I really appreciate the design of the pressure valve/seal button on the top. If you put the lid top down on any smooth surface, the valve will create a strong enough seal that it pulls through the top and remains on the surface. So a tip is to either not place the top upside down on a counter, or to place a small object underneath to keep the suction cup action from taking place. Couldn't be more pleased. Now if they just made something similar for my morning oatmeal....

It is a nice looking obento box i was using a woodrn obento box , and a change it fot this one because the wooden box is so precious for me and i don't want to use it anymore.

Leaktight, pretty design, practical. Just wish it didn't need the elastic bands - they will eventually get lost.

Love these boxes. Perfect for an office lunch. I take pinkos transportation in the city and I just throw this into my bag, no leaks!

This was a great purchase I've been able to use it for work and when snacking, easy to clean my co-workers have even been thinking about getting one of these themselves
