Quick Change Handpiece Compatible with Rotary Grinder Tool

10/10! use this almost exclusively at my bench. Far far far FAR cheaper than those Foredome pieces and works just as good. Fits my flex shaft with no issue and makes changing bits super quick. I get bits exclusively to fit this over the original handpiece. Don't even have to worry about losing the chuck because there isn't one! might just get another just because. Just be sure to keep it lubed up (inside, not the chuck part obviously) so it doesn't wear down.

This has turned out to be a wonderful purchase this hand piece works great feels great just as described for this price range I honestly didn’t expect much but I was pleasantly surprised with the way it works and feels

It Fits! Just received it and took off my #30 handpiece, and decided to try to install this one without modding it as it looked like it was the same size. It does. As others have said, it is lightweight, may have inferior plastic parts, but is very inexpensive so I could afford it. Spins up true! So far, so good.

Works well, but only for the 3/32 shaft bits, so if you have a bunch of 1/8 size bits (the common dremel size), you will have to switch to another handpiece for those.

Doesn’t fit in fordom cable.

This tool requires much thinner bit shafts than what I originally had on hand. This tool require 2.35mm shafts. Most dremel shafts are in the 3mm range or 1/8". Either you will need to buy or have 2.35mm dremel shafts or don't buy it. I read on the listings that others have modified or drilled theirs out to make their bit shafts fit. I tried and got it off slightly off centered which makes it useless so I purchased another one and just ordered all new 2.35mm dremel bits. Just beware that your dremel shafts may not be 2.35mm. 3/32 bits are the equivalent size. Most bits are 3mm or 1/8" shafts. Just beware of this difference. This quick change has saved me so much time! I flip back and fourth between bits on fixing and working on difference pieces of jewelry. Less time wasted. Time is the most valuable asset that you have so why not have something that saves you time.

As other reviewers have mentioned ***THIS HAND PIECE WILL NOT FIT THE FOREDOM SR FLEX SHAFT MACHINE WITHOUT MODIFICATION FIRST***. The problem is that the tail piece part of the hand piece that excepts the flex shaft sheath is machined to small to allow the sheath to plug into the hand piece. The outer part of the flex shaft sheath that plugs into the hand piece is 0.040". The hole in the end of the hand piece is only 0.0385" which is to small to accept the flex shaft sheath. However, I do want to point out that the inner keyed C-shaped female shaft that accepts flex shaft keyed male shaft which spins the hand piece is machined perfectly to fit. While the outer sheath connection being too small is a problem. It can be pretty easily fixed with a 0.0403" or 13/32" drill bit and a suitable clamp hold the tail piece part of the hand piece that needs to be drilled out to the proper size to accept the 0.040" sheath diameter. Start by disassembling the tail portion of the hand piece from the hand piece body which is threaded in. After that remove the black C-clip that retains the ball bearing that keeps the hand piece connected to the flex shaft. Take care not to loose the ball bearing. Next clamp the tail piece in a vice or drill press. Take care to not damage the threads of the tail piece. Drill the hole to the proper size, note you will only need to drill to a depth of about 0.075" or 3/4". Clean out any shavings from the drill process. Then reassemble the tail piece to the hand piece. Now it should work perfectly! I am comfortable modifying tools to get them to work. Therefore this was no deal breaker for me in deciding to purchase the hand piece since I knew up front when I ordered it that I'd probably have to make it fit. Big shoutout and a thank you to the other reviewers that pointed this out. I find all of the other aspects of this tool to be fine and it appears to work great. I've only had it about a day now so can't say how durable it will be but it's seems like decent construction and materials used so I think it will last pretty well. If I encounter any other problems I'll update this review. I felt that the low cost of this hand piece was enough reason to purchase it. I don't count my time as an expense since tinkering with things is fun for me and part of my hobbies. In spite of having to make the modifications needed to get it to fit my Foredom SR Flex Shaft machine I think it was a good purchase I only paid about $25 for this hand piece with prime shipping.
