Great product, but shipping too high
Great product, just not from this vendor! Nearly $16 shipping charge for a 3 week away predicted delivery date? This is a 2.2# SMALL bag of food! I can ship it by priority mail for less than that & get it 2.5 weeks earlier!

Safe Insect Replacement For Birds
This is a brand that I trust, has been around a long time. Finches who breed will accept this product as a replacement for live insects. I always substitute Orlux Patee, instead of using live mealworms. I sprinkle about a teaspoon on their softfood.

Bummer! Uni Patee not as good as basic Insect Patee
I recently entered a review on the Versele-Laga Insect Patee, the same one I had been purchasing overseveral years. BUT--the packaging, name, and contents are now markedly improved under the renamed product, NutriBird Insect Patee. Actually, I have a couple of birds eating the insect patee, that also enjoyfruit/berries. So, when I saw the NutriBird UNI Patee, for insect and fruit eaters, I gave it a try. Pricier, and also shipped from the UK, with an additional shipping fee, I was so looking forward to one more enjoyable product for these particular birds. Even after awhile, neither bird has shown any interest, preferring the basic Nutri Bird Insect Patee still. I truly could not discern much more than the "bakeryproducts" that comprise the biggest part of the food. So as not to dispense of the pricey UniPatee,I have starting mixing them--one part Uni and three parts regular Insect. This blend is cpnsumed much better. But--I will stick with NutriBird Insect Patee, still shown on the Amazon website in the old packaging (Versele-Laga Orlux Insect Patee), and still available from "Happy Birds" (the same as the New York Bird Supply) I'd been purchasing it from, for less.
