The first use was for a batch of chicken wings. The results were superb

Sturdy, solid and the right size (if you order the right size for your kettle). Works very well. Take a look on youtube, there are many different uses for it. Chicken wings come out PERFECT. The bbq gets much hotter than with the baskets provided with the bbq. You can smoke, sear and cook indirect with this Vortex.

Pues lo he usado mas de 5 ocasiones, y todas con excelentes resultados; es muy practico, el calor es mas homogeneo, y el termino de la carne es mas parejo. Para sellar la carne tambien es practico.

What a nice game changer. Best grilled (that are like fried) wings I have made. The indirect-direct method works great. I have not tried the direct or indirect snake method for low and slow, but in concept it should work great for both as well. The Vortex is well built and easy to use. It fits perfectly in the Weber 22 and for the price is a great value. With the Vortex regardless of your cooking ability, you can turn out great food.

Tried cooking with chicken on a vortex. It provides and scatters the heat on the kettle. It also makes the coal inside very hard to put out. you should have a water spritz ready when usung this because if you put some oil basting, it it could set the whole kettle on fire and even closing the lid does not put our the fire. So it is really good at retaining heat on the kettle, you just have to be careful when using it.
