This colourful KS2 Rivers book contains a delightful stream of engaging information, full-colour photos and diagrams, plus a healthy variety of thought-provoking questions, to help pupils learn about KS2 Geography. It covers everything pupils need to know about the water cycle, river courses and features of rivers, plus details about specific rivers, such as the Severn, Danube, desertcart and Colorado. All this, in CGP's famous pupil-friendly style - nice. This book is perfectly paired with the matching Rivers Activity Book (9781782949763). It's filled to the brim with questions and activities to further pupils' understanding and interest in Geography. Review: 4.5 to 5 stars - Great books for our homed education journey. Most of the questions in the activity are covered in the guide book, but sometimes, they could do with a bit more information and guidance. Review: Good. - Good.

An excellent learning resource.
This is a lovely little study book from CGP. The cover photo of the Colorado River is glorious and the content is very well laid out and illustrated with many beautiful photos and excellent graphics. It is clear and very easy to understand and to follow and would make a super text or accompanying resource to a text or class content for children. I love that the book encourages ecological responsibility as well as exploration of rivers local to the child. It is an excellent learning resource. The only issue I see with it, which may be to do with the curriculum being for children from 7-11, is that the content is not very challenging to a child with an enquiring mind as they get towards 10 and 11 years old. Basically, it may be a bit 'young' in scope and depth for some of the older kids. So, if you have an older child, best 'look inside' to see if it sparks their engagement with the content, before you buy.
