I keep it plugged in and I erase the code that puts my truck in limp mode while driving down the street or on the Freeway. After erasing the code I let off the gas and then back on the gas and I'm cruising on down the road like nothing happened. It also plugs into my sister's 2007 Toyota Matrix. It detected bad 02 sensor. She thought the car needed new cats which almost cost her $1600 from shady mechanic. Paid $40 for 02 sensor.
