I needed this for some lace, and from past experience, polyester is a real b*tch and a half to dye- but not any more!!! This stuff works GREAT! The color is nice and deep, and it's SUPER easy to use!

I bought this to dye my $200 body armor carrier. My department switched from blue to black uniforms and I didn’t want to have to replace a 6 month old vest. It did a fantastic job dying the vest and all my pouches. I cannot say enough good things about it.

This worked great for us. We added it to shaving cream to dye disc golf discs. The downside is it is a powder and gets everywhere even when you are being incredibly cautious. It has faded a little on discs left in the yard but not much. We are happy with this and will buy it again when we need to!

After conducting a lot of research, I decided to roll the dice and dye my sofa slipcovers. They turned out amazing with this dye. I wanted light blue, so I used an entire packet on about twice as much material as called for (like 10 pounds). I also washed, dried, and then re-wetted the material before dying. I dissolved the dye packet separately in warm water and then poured it in (to a front loader). Despite many reports to add salt, I did not because 1) it is supposed to make the color stick, which I was not sure I wanted; and 2) salt is associated with inconsistent dye placement. Hope this is helpful to someone!

I have a conflicted view on this product. I originally purchased this dye to change the color of my niece's doll to match her skin tone. But unfortunately, instead of getting at least a mildly brown character, instead we got a monster high doll.The joints turned brown, but her arms, shins turned olive, and her head, torso and her thighs turned into a deep coffee color. Very dissapointed, do not use for changing doll skin. However, I won't give it a one star, because this dye is particularly meant for fabrics. I did do a test, and I thought that the color that resulted matched the description.So I don't know, I hope they can make a better dye in the future.

I tried Ritz dye first with no difference so then tried this dye.I purchased several packages to dye some pillow covers because I couldn't find any black pillow covers I liked. The ones I had were a taupe color so I was dying them a darker color. My pot was only big enough to do 2 at a time so the first 2 were darker than the 3rd one even though I left in the pot the same amount of time and stirred constantly. Plus, none of them turned out black - the first 2 were more like a charcoal grey and the 3rd one was a medium grey.

I bought this dye because it is meant to be used in the washing machine, and I wanted minimum effort. Instructions were inside the package, which was interesting, since you had to tear up the packaging and lay it flat to read the directions printed on the inside. But the tips were helpful, and the clothes I dyed came out almost exactly how I wanted!Very affordable for what I got, though it did turn the inside of my machine a lovely shade of speckled navy. Only took hot water and a throw away wash rag to take most of it off- I did one load of dark colored towels and it washed away the rest of the staining. Overall, much better than I had guessed it would be for the price! I also used the fixative, and even after several machine washes and dries, the color has stayed fast!

I specifically bought this brand as it says it’s for synthetic fabric. I followed the instructions. The elastic waistband on my pants got all twisted from the high heat. And the color just washed right out. Terrible dye.
