I prefer the thin wire, in-line LED fairy lights like these Smart LED String Lights for decorating both inside and outdoors. I have several sets of fairy lights and am impressed with the lighting modes they have, but none are as good as this set.I would not use any of them in a permanent set up like I would an LED strip because I want their many functions to add that special something to an occasion and they always do. These lights in particular have it all - music synchronization, built-in high-sensitive mic, 16 million colours, 8 lighting modes, 4 music modes and a very comprehensive remote control. However, there are multiple control methods - Alexa and Google Assistant with simple voice commands, the 3-button smart controller box, the 44-key IR Remote controller and your SmartPhone by downloading the ‘Smart Life’ APP.These lights don't have an IP rating for outside use, but I have no hesitation in using them outside with a power bank, as long as the power bank and LED connections are shielded from the weather.To me, these LED lights are fantastic. They are more expensive than the fairy lights I've got of a similar size, but they are way ahead on features and performance, truly 5 stars.

These are a lovely set of Micro lights which have such PRETTY colours available - in fact the colour choices seem endless - its like spending an hour searching for something to watch on Netflix but instead searching all the light combinations instead ... ha ha! Yes, there really are that many. Micro Lights are quite delicate so you do have to be careful not to break any of the lights, but they are also very lightweight and the wire makes them versatile to bend very easily into place.I haven't as yet tried them with Alexa, only with the remote which worked well, as they arrived after Christmas so I prob won't set up with Alexa until next Christmas or maybe in the summer. I'm also not interested in the music sync compatibility either.Possible a little pricey for 5m, but overall I'd recommend. Can't wait to sync with Alexa next Christmas.I hope you found this helpful. I love string lights, and these are exceptionally good. I love antiques and my living room has a lot of dark wood. The lights look amazing arranged on the coach cupboard for now, but I plan to use them in the alcove where I will keep my glass collection once the glass doors have been added.The colours are excellent, they are much better suited to the room than strip lights. I use a large capacity power bank to power them, so I don’t have a trailing wire. It’s the first time I’ve seen Alexa compatible rice lights, voice control works perfectly, the remote is good and mobile app excellent. Music sync works well too. Lovely lights that are really versatile.

I don't know a huge amount about LED Lights but my these are so good. Really easy to set up and so simple to control. I've been using them over Christmas and everyone seems to love them. So many colours and controllable by the phone or the remote control. these are very smart. My house looks so colourful. Im so happy with them. If there is a negative it would be that the instructions could be a little clearer. However I worked it out so its not rocker science. I really love them. They are thin enough to stay in place all year so no need to unstick them and then not be able to put them back up. When they are not on they are hardly noticeable. Very smart
