super sharp, holds edge, easy to clean with sheath. Best fillet knife I own. Even works on small fish in a pinch.
This knife I purchased for fillet of king salmon, but on a trip I only had this knife in the boat and even with a extra long blade it was still a breeze to clean bass and perch. I cut around the rib bones just to see how well it would do and handle so much better then my standard go to Rapala 6" knife I would normally use. I've had this knife for almost a year now and even with a Work Sharp Ken Onion knife sharpener I haven't had to touch this one up yet. I know you can purchase cheaper w/o the sheath but I like having my blades covered as they get tossed in glove box of the boat or fishing bags as I often fillet at the launch.

Quality
Guiding Alaska is tough on your equipment, this Dexter fileted 100s of fish this season and is still in excellent shape. Always been a fan of Dexter knives.

Very nice fillet knife. I worked as a cook for years. These knives are the standard of the industry. If they're good enough for the pros, they'll be good enough for you.
