95% Excellent.
I was impressed and slightly disappointed. The design, fit & finish is excellent. But for one irritation and one problem. My problem (which I solved) was that my particular foot is too thin & fits very loosely in the slot of the mount, but it's the only foot (1/4-20) I find sold apart from a kit. Too thin (~1.8-mm) because the spring-loaded keeper was very, very slightly too short to keep the thin foot from sometimes riding up & pushing down. When I shook the mount lightly the foot sometimes fell out. My solution was to disassemble the unit and replace the factory spring with one I pulled from a clicker ink-pen & cut to length. The firmer spring keeps the keeper raised against the thin foot trying to wiggle out. The stiffer spring makes inserting the foot require a moment's more attention to the insert angle, but well worth the added security. It also insists on the button push to release the foot, originally brushing a finger on the keeper was enough. The weight of an item mounted on the foot may still allow this thin foot to escape due to movement, but now its much less likely. The slight irritation is that the rectangular slot in the shoe is about 5-mm too long for this 18-mm square foot; the foot slides to & fro. I solved that with a small spacer (a bit of popsicle stick), glued into the back of the slot. My pocket camera will now sit happily when mounted near the computer. (fyi-The slot is ~20-mm wide & its ~2-mm high (slightly more than the thickness of a nickel). [Since you ask ;-) To change the spring, unscrew the button (large side) by first using a gripper to turn it gently to break the button's glue grip on the threaded end of the through rod. Then unscrew the button, and the spring, rod & keeper drop out. The new spring fits partly inside the button; cut it a millimeter or two longer than the original spring. Fiddle back into place the keeper then the rod, and gently screw on the button with the spring. Adjust spring length as needed to fit or to adjust the pressure.

Almost perfect, but I'd use it for light weight devices.
This is almost perfect it does exactly what it's supposed to do and I really have enjoyed the usage of it the only issue that I have with this cold shoe Mount is that it only has a single mounting pin and from time to time it still moves around on my rig if it's not fully secure. If you have a way to fully secure are you using a really lightweight cold shoe device this is perfect, but a lot of the new devices have locking pins are some kind of option to keep the entire piece from spinning. If I use it with my Deity TC1 I have no issues at all. But if I use it with something heavier like a shotgun microphone it may spin on me. I'm definitely something to consider

Holding it down
Small enough and strong enough to keep things locked in but less inconspicuous
