I have a 4.5' by 3' lid covering an opening in the floor to gain access to my crawl space. It's ¾" plywood and is attached along the long edge with a piano hinge. It's heavy. Worked great except that when I closed it, it slammed shut, possibly hurting someone's fingers, toes, head (or worse). These were installed in 30 minutes. The instructions aren't great so just go with your gut feeling about where they should be placed. Now the lid opens and closes slowly and is much safer. It holds the lid open at 110 degrees when open. Very nice.

Worked perfectly for my storage bench. Now my littles fingers are safe! The directions were not that great but I watched a YouTube video and figured it out! I Definitely recommend

My son was installing these on a toy box he had built. He never has problems figuring things out, but this slow close was impossible to install. He drilled several unnecessary holes in the toy box until he finally gave up. The instructions were very unclear. I returned them for a less expensive pair that work great and were a breeze to put on. They were very sturdy and heavy and I'm sure if you could figure out how to put them on, they would have worked great, possibly.

I built cover lids for my raised garden beds to keep my chickens and other wildlife from eating our vegetables. Each of the lids is 5’ x 4K and with the wood and the machine cloth screening, the covers are not lightweight. I wanted to add something to hold the lids up when you are working on the garden. I tried two simple pistons, but the weight was too much and the covers would start to slowly close after a few minutes, then suddenly drop. Very dangerous. So I bought these Vocomo heavy duty hinges and installed them on the tow covers. They work great. No complaints about the product. The only issue is that the instructions were almost non-existent. For the prior pistons I used, there were included instructions that gave detailed location specs on where to attach each end of the piston to provide the proper open angles you would want. These Docomos didn’t have that and I had to calculate this myself. Haven’t done trigonometry in a few years, but I figured it out. Other than the missing instructions, I recommend these hinges.

We use this on a bench inside the door that has hats and mittens for the kids. This lasted about a month and now one side has already ripped out. I think the screws aren't long enough. I doesn't seem to hold up to a lot of weight either. The kids still have pinched their fingers in the bench multiple times. The instructions arent the easiest to follow but the device is almost self explainable so we could figure it out.

These hinges work very well to hold a heavy chest lid in any position. However, the installer should take care in locating exactly where to drill the screw holes.

We used these for a attic trap door to a loft. They worked great and they were very happy. You could see them from below and they liked how clean they looked. Open and stay open and closed soft.

These ended up being my 5th soft close hinges. These were the only ones that kept the kids safe from a toy box door slamming on them. They help to lift the heavy lid and keep it open, they need more help closing (have to actually push the lid down) since it seems they’re design for opening help but I’m more than happy with them.

I used these to support an oak toy box lid that weighs about 20 pounds. The lid lifts and stays put and the kids just need to let the lid down slowly. It works fine

This is great and i will be using this for my hatch cover escape door. Very easy to instal and has a good finish

The media could not be loaded. These soft close hinges do not work. I installed these on a pine box and the lid slams shut. NOT soft close at all. Hinges work well when lifting the lid and they hold the lid up but that’s all their good for. Very disappointed in this product for the price I paid.
