Nintendo Selects: Star Fox 64 3D - Nintendo 3DS

Like many others, I grew up with this game. Memorized the secrets, the story, the script -- everything. Decades later, it's a game whose familiarity gives me comfort, providing sufficient challenge mixed with pure enjoyment. I'd heard that the circle pad controls feel weird in comparison to the original game, but the differences are negligible. Once you get used to the updated button mapping, this game will make you feel right at home. The updated graphics and textures look gorgeous, the controls have been further streamlined, and the voice-acting remains fun and engrossing. While they did retain some of the original voice actors (who deliver the lines faithfully with slight tweaks), the actors they found to replace the originals do a fantastic job.I primarily play this game single player, but I heard the local multiplayer options are great; you can do it with one copy of the game. I've yet to try the 3D feature, but I'm sure it's a nice bonus. If you're looking for a familiar dose of quality and nostalgia, pick this copy up. If you're new to the series, it doesn't get much better than this.

Make sure you enquire when buying 3DS games about what region they are from, as it may not work on your console. (Japan, Europe, North America, Australia). I live in Australia and bought a from this seller only to find it wouldn't work on my system and now have to go through the whole return process. Product came in a timely manor but wasnt advertised as a North American copy of the game.
