Excelente compra !

Sounds quality is great. I wasn't expecting to get that quality of sound for this price. This is the replacement for our garage system since we work on projects a lot. It is still running my tiny 21 year old speakers so quality is measured by output max which is displayed on the screen and clarity for speaker allowance but we are sitting in the negative to low range on output to speakers so that means if I upgrade the speakers I will add to the volume as well as base. Very simple to bluetooth connect as the device is always visible for pairing. Took me 30 seconds to connect my device and it did indeed allow my phone to go across the house without disruption. Yep I forgot my phone was I my pocket, but when I went inside to the back of the house my husband said there was zero interruption. No lag time (under 0.5 sec) to switching songs or volume from phone. The remote is so convient as our last reciever was a 30 year old hand me down and the remote was lost years prior. We can now turn it on while sitting at the work bench and link to our phone to start playing without leaving the work area. I love that the antenna is attached (so it's not lost if disconnected) and we can listen to radio if we want without attaching a wire that has to be hung on the wall. (Very rare but nice to have the option) Overall I would purchase again because the quality and price are perfect. Even the build quality is advanced for this price. The connections are twist not insert which gives a solid connection. No scratches, bent uneven corners or seams either. Nice amount of breathing holes to keep air circulation so I do not anticipate any overheating. This summer it will be put to the test as we live in N central CA so we see alit of 105-115° days and summer is May-Oct.

Works well as advertised
I recently purchased the PT 270 AIU to have an outdoor stereo around our pool. I was interested to have many formats to play music from so this receiver was attractive. I generally play music from an ipod, MP3,or USB, but my wife was adamant that it have FM as she likes to listen to NPR or talk radio while reading her Kindle. After checking pawn shops for older low budget receivers, I thought this unit would have all of the options we wanted built in, for an awesome price, and it does. First off, many of the comments on here are spot on, and should be noted. Such as; mysteriously an on/off switch has been left off the remote, the input does revert to DVD each time you turn it on, as well as the volume is turned low (a benefit). The dancing lights although pleasant, give the impression it is an equalizer, which it isn't. Our fan is quiet, and I hope it stays that way, but I keep it in a suncast plastic outdoor cabinet, and you can't hear it. Manual is completely devoid of instructions, but who reads those anyway. The FM antenna is not worth using, and I suspect this is why many say the receiver does not work. Just take some extra speaker wire and hook it up and you will have a better one than supplied with the unit. Let me put some of the bad comments that I read in the review to rest. First everything on my unit works. Ipod, MP3, USB, FM, AM, Volume, Treble, Bass, Microphone, Remote, AM antenna, all switches, etc... I do not have a low level buzz or hum as many have claimed. I assume they have either a poor connection with their speakers, or some other electrical issue such as a poor ground. The ipod dock and built in retractable audio cord for an mp3 player work fine, make sure your players volume is turned up as that does effect volume levels!. However, the receiver does not automatically "find" your devices if plugged in, you must use the input switch and change it to the ipod/usb device. This is normal for a receiver (it's not a plug and play computer). The receiver is "defaulted" to be used as a home theater - with the DVD set as the "default" input at each start up. The station search does work on the receiver, as do the station pre-sets (and they do hold their memory), but you do have to figure out how to use them, as the manual gives no real instructions. The search function literally found all of the stations my car can, without static, radio works well and pulls a good signal. Volume with 4 Dual outdoor speakers is plenty loud for our deck. All in all, I am surprisingly happy with the purchase, and as long as it keeps running would highly recommend/purchase this product.

Good value, despite a few quirks, and needs service at 11 months
The sound is good, and the price is reasonable. I've used it for almost a year with good reliability (although I do have to send it in for warranty service today because it stopped producing output (i.e., no sound) -- power surge perhaps, though I had it plugged in to a surge protector). The fan quickly (within the first couple months) got pretty loud and created noticeable vibrations on the shelf. My wife would ask, "Is that a small lawn mower in there?" I had to remove the cover to lubricate the fan, which quieted it perfectly, but that did break the "no guaranty if broken" label on the back. I'll report back here if Pyle Audio has any problems with fixing the output issue because of my having to lubricate the fan. When I turn the volume knob up "too" quickly, the volume keeps going up and won't respond to counterclockwise turns to go down (runaway volume?), however, this is easily "corrected" by turning the unit off and starting it again right away... which brings-up another interesting quirk: When turning the unit on, it scrolls through the various inputs on the front panel display and NEVER stops at the one I had it on last. It's like watching a slot-machine, and I always lose and have to press the input button several times to get it to the one I had it on last (Ahhhh, yes... isn't it so American to complain about having to push a button a few extra times, but I'm not really complaining... just pointing-out what I've noticed). Regarding contacting the company about the warranty service... On the occasions I spoke with someone, they were helpful. Twice I got a "voicemail box is full" message (which seems unprofessional), and one week ago I left a specific, detailed voicemail for their engineers and my call still has not been returned. I do recommend this receiver with the disclosures above. If it lasts two years, I'll feel satisfied with the use I got out of it... HOWEVER, at this point, it has stopped working BEFORE one year, so I'll find-out soon if Pyle Audio honors its warranty.
