This is the one! I’ve now purchased this charger/voltage display five separated times as it is made phenomenally well and the voltage read-out gives me peace of mind knowing both that my battery has “juice” in it and my alternator is charging. I have one in every car I own.

This is a great device to monitor your car battery. If you have a van or other less used vehicle this is just a life saver to show when you need to recharge the battery ... or if you are DONE recharging the battery .. or if your charger/alternator is actually working. You do need to understand battery discharge voltage curves ... meaning: 12.6v = full charge (engine not running or no current charging/discharging.) 12.0v = 1/2 charge (engine not running or no current charging.) This is lowest reliable engine startup voltage. Aka time to start engine after hanging out with radio/lights/computer on for hours! 13.8v = Normal "float voltage" and charging complete. ( engine on/charging) 14.0-14.5v = recharging at good rate. ( engine on/charging) All above voltages are for a standard automotive liquid lead acid battery chemistry! I also use this for "Emergency jumper battery power supplies" (lead/acid liquid chem) to measure/verify charge status. You must leave it off/part removed from plug for long storage. Keep in mind to measure voltage with most loads removed ... like phone charger, lights, radio/computer when engine is not running.

So.....It has two USB ports, but it will only charge one phone at a time. Even if you have two phones plugged in, whoever plugs in second will get nothing until the first person unplugs their phone. I leave it in an outlet that does not receive power until I start my truck. When I start it, the display will show all zeros until I unplug it, and plug it back in. Other than that, it seems to work perfectly.

I love this product. I bought it for the voltage reading because my car doesn't have a battery gauge, and that works well, but I really love the USB charger. It charges my phone really good, especially in comparison to other car chargers I have used in the past.

This is an excellent cigarette lighter USB charger! It is much more sleek than the photos indicate, and smaller too. Plus it is accurate and with two significant figures you really know what is going on. I was able to see my car’s voltage fluctuate at idle (with no load) from 12.5 to 14.5. It only happened for a single minute but that told me a lot. A trip to O’Reilly and we had the culprit — bad alternator diodes. This little USB charger port saved my $250 battery from certain death. Buy it!

It helps me know what my power in my vehicle is doing right now with all my electronics. A long time ago vehicles came with power meters but times have changed so no more.
