Duratech flex head ratcheting wrenches SAE & Metric
This review is for both the SAE and metric versions of these wrenches. First things first, I HAVE NOT used these wrenches yet so I will try to remember to update this review once I’ve used them. I am giving them 4 stars initially based on a few factors. First, both versions feel and look very solid. They have a nice heft without being heavy. They are chrome plated and look very nice. The flex heads are not stiff but also not so loose that they flop around. So you can position them at whatever angle you need and they stay put. Second, they both came with nice organizers. The metrics have a roll up storage bag (marked with sizes) and the SAE came in a foam storage block (with sizes stamped into the foam. )Both are of good quality. The bag has a Velcro closure which is a nice touch and the foam block is very dense, sturdy foam. Third, I love the fact that these are double box head, giving me twice the wrench sizes in half the amount of wrenches so when it comes to storing them I don’t need space for 22 total wrenches, just 11. That’s a plus for me because my storage right now is getting limited. Based on how these perform I could either bump them up to five stars or down to three. Unless they all completely fall apart on the first use I really can’t see giving them anything lower than three stars, especially considering the price point. Edit 11-18-21: Have used these multiple times since my first review and they perform well AND are very durable. Dropped one from the top of an 8ft ladder onto a concrete floor and it continued to perform as if nothing had happened. VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE!

Really Decent!
Recently purchased some Duratech flare nut wrenches and their finish and quality impressed me so much I decided to give these a go. Fairly priced and of decent function and quality. Quality on par with or slightly better than the examples of China manufactured Gearwrench that I own.

High Quality Tools
I have been using and collecting tools for almost 50 years and, while not a professional mechanic, I consider myself a pretty accomplished amateur. I learned a long time ago that quality tools are worth the extra expense because they save you time, aggravation, and money by not having to replace them. I bought this set of ratcheting wrenches to complete a particular task that I couldn't reach with a socket. I was not familiar with Duratech tools but I was immediately impressed with how well-made they were. They have a solid heft, beautiful chrome finish, and there is absolutely no "slop" in the ratcheting action. I was so impressed, after I received and used this set I followed-up by getting a metric set, too. I also really like the foam organizer because it keeps the wrenches together, you can find the one you need instantly, and it doesn't slide around my toolbox when I open the drawer they're in.

quality tool / priced right /
So I used them for a little before this review... I service commercial laundry equipment .. For a special application I needed an extra long 9/16 and a 1/2 inch ratcheting wrench. The complete set was priced less than some other single wrenches ... I especially liked that the two sizes mentioned were on the same wrench. Others were not made that way .. This is a quality tool at a price that won't hurt you . They do the job very well . With a lifetime warranty it's a good deal ... I just purchased a Duratech 1/4 inch drive ratchet that I haven't used yet but again it seems very well made, good price and high quality. DURATECH !!! QUALITY AT A REASONABLE PRICE. UPDATE ... I returned the 1/4 inch ratchet as it would not hold on to a socket .... Every socket / extension would drop off with minimal resistance. For the same price I purchased a Crescent ratchet That works just fine and is of excellent quality .. I have, at this point used it extensively.

WOW!
I don't write a lot of reviews relative to the count of orders I place, but this just showed up and OMG! I own a LOT of tools. This was one of the last I bought because I've already got all of the ratchets in every size, every standard wrench in every size, open end boxed end, so this wasn't even really necessary, but this set, is probably the highest quality set of wrenches I own. Looks amazing, comes in a foam tray that will fit nicely in my toolbox, long for leverage, extremely tight and clean action. I had pretty high expectations, these went well beyond.

Smooth Action
I was reluctant to purchase these due to some of the negative reviews. I must have received a good set because the ratchet works smoothly and locks up quickly. I don't know if I would purchase them if you plan on using and abusing them daily but for the DIY guy these should work fine.

Nice quality for an inexpensive wrench set
Wanted a long pattern set of ratcheting wrenches for occasional use, gave these a try. Price is right, initial impressions are they seem well built, and the fit and finish is actually really nice. I've use them a handful of times, so far so good. I think as long as you don't abuse them they should hold up fine. i've had these since october, they're holding up just fine. it's a ratcheting wrench, so as long as you're not using them to break bolts loose they should hold up just fine. November 1, 2022, wrenches are still holding up just fine. Use them as intended and they last. It's a ratcheting wrench, they're not meant to break bolts loose.
