Scooby-Doo: The Sword and The Scoob [DVD] [2021]

Hard one for me to decide on but after thing I gave this a 3/5 stars. A good film but not perfect for 4 or 5 stars, still needed some work done.Now as we all know this film is a sequel to Happy Halloween Scooby-Doo! but moves on from the whole continuation sub plot that the last 3 films had linking them together.The story to this one, sounds promising's." The gang travel to England to learn about Shaggy's medieval ancestry. While they're there, Morgan le Fay sends the gang back in time to the days of Camelot, where they meet King Arthur and Merlin. Shaggy accidentally releases Excalibur causing chaos in the land. After Shaggy is kidnapped by Morgan, Scooby and the gang team-up with King Arthur to save him."But when you break it down you find out that its just another Return to Zombie Island, nothing but fake illusions. The time travel scene alone was amazing, with the flashbacks to previous clips from the shows/movies. But when Velma explains none of it was real you get push down like telling a kid that Santa isn't real.Medieval side was nice, as seeing a new take on a mystery is always exciting but with a title like Sword and the Scoob I was hoping for a least a sword fight with scooby doo or something pro-long. Heck even the cover art screams dungeon and dragons or Sword Quest, which some scenes leading to the dragon's lair did feel like that which was again another scene I like which made up for the movie.... until Velma explains at the end but avoiding that, its watchable.Even the title for this film got changed, before it was called Scooby-Doo! in King Arthurs Court, but sadly it was changed to Scooby-Doo: The Sword and The Scoob! which is a shame as I like the original title better.But not all is bad, even though Velma ended the hopes and dreams towards the end, we all still got a bit of hope and realism restored thanks to Merlin, as we saw a bit of truth towards the magic and hint towards the unknown.So all in all, its watchable but does have some scenes that ruin it for fans who love the unknown and mystery elements.

It's an OK film but the only issue is they have lost the great story lines in this film as they use to have.

I don't think there's a Scooby Doo movie I or my family don't like.This one again has some great stand out hilarious moments.Can't wait for the next Scooby installment.
