Be yourself like Molly Lou Melon no matter what a bully may do. Molly Lou Melon is short and clumsy, has buck teeth, and has a voice that sounds like a bullfrog being squeezed by a boa constrictor. She doesn't mind. Her grandmother has always told her to walk proud, smile big, and sing loud, and she takes that advice to heart. But then Molly Lou has to start in a new school. A horrible bully picks on her on the very first day, but Molly Lou Melon knows just what to do about that. Review: Worldofbooks Lovely little book - A used book in good condition. Worth the price
I bought this book for my little one (on my own dime) and even I fell in love with it. it is very motivational and helps in developing positive self-esteem in children. I have often used this book as a reference in teaching my little one about believing in themself and accepting perceived flaws for their beauty. I would def. recommend this book. PS. this post is not sponsored and solely my view of the book.

Embrace Your Uniqueness
In "Stand Tall, Molly Lou Melon," Patty Lovell presents a heartwarming tale of self-acceptance and resilience through the charming character of Molly Lou Melon. Despite her short stature, clumsiness, and distinctive features—like her buck teeth and a voice reminiscent of a bullfrog—Molly Lou embraces her individuality with pride, thanks to the encouraging words of her grandmother. Her mantra to “walk proud, smile big, and sing loud” sets the tone for her adventure as she transitions to a new school. On her first day, Molly Lou encounters a relentless bully, but instead of shrinking under the pressure, she embodies the confidence instilled in her by her grandmother. With her unique approach, Molly Lou teaches not only her classmates but also readers about the power of self-acceptance and the importance of standing tall in the face of adversity. Lovell's playful text, paired with David Catrow’s vibrant and whimsical illustrations, creates a delightful reading experience that resonates with children and adults alike. "Stand Tall, Molly Lou Melon" is an inspiring story that encourages readers to embrace their quirks and stand up against negativity. It’s a celebration of authenticity and the strength that comes from being unapologetically oneself, making it a perfect addition to any child's library. Molly Lou reminds us all that confidence shines brightly from within, no matter our differences!
