Perfect for helping wrangle wandering attention spans
I homeschool kids ranging in age from 4-17, and I handed each one of them one of these reading highlight strips! These are helpful not only for emerging readers, but also kids with ADHD and kids whose attention spans have been impacted by the tech-heavy, instant gratification leaning world we live in! I also will grab one when I need to read something and my attention span just isn’t cooperating. They are thick and sturdy, the perfect size for all ages. The colors are a fun touch because each kid could pick their favorite color and they function exactly as I hoped they would!

Worth it!
I homeschool my children and am always on the lookout for quality, low cost items and these definitely fit the bill! I love how they double as both a bookmark and a reading guide for younger readers. It makes it easy to follow along with the text and I enjoy how we didn't need an additional bookmark. The color variety was great as was the size and overall durability. Would highly recommend and would purchase again!

Quality
I use the green filter to read documents, my students have their own favorite color. The 3 way use-bookmark, line tracking and color filter make this product perfect for readers of all ages. This was my 3rd purchase.

Struggle while reading
Irlen syndrome also called scotopic sensitivity syndrome is often overlooked and never tested when a child struggles to comprehend reading. When I tutor a student who says they have trouble reading, I bring out the filters for them. Use each color and ask them questions about what they read. Many times I have used these filters, my students find they CAN read and comprehend better when using a specific color filter. If you are an educator or a parent of a struggling reader, consider using these filters to help your students read. You may find a simple color filter aids in their reading and comprehension.

Too dark
They are kind of helpful. Lighter colors would be better. Maybe a bit too thick. Two of the colors are pretty good. Not a great review I know but I would probably get it again so we could get the lighter colors that work for us.
