Yes, just run a cable from the headphone jack of this amp to the input of any other amp. Just make sure the volume on your larger amp is low at first, as this mini amps headphone jack puts out more power than a guitar, making your larger amp louder than expected at low volumes.

would this work decently with a 4 string bass in standard tuning?

I would guess no. It didn't work that well for my 6 string. I just spent a little more and bought a practice amp.It might work if you use it with headphones, but as it stands it isn't worth the money.

Little package huge return!

Got this for my son who uses it on with his electric guitar. He absolutely LOVES IT! I love how there is a little jack for his headphones as well. It looks amazing with all his guitar and sound equipment.
