About same quality as 29 cent item in 1970.
This is almost like 50 years ago before kids had screens and before toys were totally indestructible (don't be too rough.) This is almost a foot long; much bigger than some of the other one being sold, and the wings have dihedral (not a flat piece) so it is more stable. I broke off a piece of wing because left it on a car seat, and it still flew ok. The aft fuselage split when pushing horizontal tail in, but held up. The vertical was soon lost on grass so used canopy as tail, until we lost that, and it still flew ok.

Fun for boys who love airplanes
Purchased for my 6 year old grandson, he had a lot of fun with it and it took crash landings fairly well. Keep away from little times as my 3 year old grandson broke it in pieces. Easy to assemble but not very sturdy.

Kids still love this vintage toy
I admit, I was a little concerned. Kids today know so much more than I did as a kid. They know everything about computers and play all the computer games. They do amaze me but I wanted to know if my great grandson would find the wonder I did, in my youth, with a simple toy. A toy with no motor, no electronics, and nothing but his own imagination. He absolutely loved this balsa plane. He played outside, yelling about how high he could get it to go. He climbed on higher surfaces to get it higher. He ran, played, and laughed for a very long time. He then had me set it up high on a bookshelf so it wouldn't get broken. It was a wonderful experience.

.
These fragile balsa wood airplanes were not shipped properly and so they arrived damaged and unusable, resulting in a waste of money and two very disappointed little boys.

Lot of fun for kids.
They fly really good with a very light breeze.

Easy to put together
Your basic balsa glider. Easy to put together. There are instructions printed on the plastic package but not really necessary. Great preprinted design on plane gives it character and makes it easier to recenter wings after a rough landing. Packages arrived intact but both already had broken wings. Even broken, both planes flew and were lots of fun for a four year old. Deducted a point for some extra thin and easily broken parts both during the 'construction' and when landing. Deducted an additional point for poor packaging that fails to protect item before opening by the consumer.

Special 72nd Birthday
This was a very special gift from grandchildren to their grandpa. When their grandpa was small he received a wooden plane just like this one for his birthday. He put it together and went outside to fly it. The first time he flew the plane it went into a car window, car was passing by, and never saw it again. When he told that story the grandchildren felt bad for him. So this May he turned 72 and they wanted him to have his plane again. It was the best. 👵🏻👨🏼🍳
