I can’t insert it inside the pipe as it’s rigid due to the screws for the cover. Any idea how to manage this as I can’t take out the whole drain out?

Dear Customer, Many thanks for considering Green Drain in your property. The area where you insert Green Drain seal should be free from screws etc. If so, the SS Floor drain cover and grating should be removed and insert freely and after fixing the GD seal replace the St.steel floor drain grate and cover back. As the groove of the seal are flexible, it can easily accommodate the sizes for which you ordered. Still not resolved, then there is size mismatch ( please refer below table). Check the enclosed instructions manual and below youtube link.
