Connector is included, as well as a dongle to flash new firmware

Q: Will this work on a emax hawk sport and a frsky taranis q x7 transmitter?

Yes, the FrSky R-XSR will indeed work with the Taranis QX7. Like the other the answers say, you may need some soldering to connect the receiver to your stack. Also keep in mind that the firmware on the receive needs to match the transmitter firmware (e.x. having the international version on both devises). This shouldn't be a problem in the US, mostly just in the EU. - The Vision FPV Team

Yes it’ll work with all frsky transmitters

Q: is this the updated version with the uninverted SBUS and s.port pads?

Updated version? The R-XSR always has these two pads as I understand it. I used uninverted Sport on one of my build. Here is a range testing if you care to check it out. I love this receiver! https://youtu.be/DVNPAs_eHhE
