Quality expectations from the Orpat Calculator, coming from the same group making excellent Ajanta wall clocks, were high, and the quality, finish and soft touch buttons, along with conveniences like dual power, GT (grand total) function and Off button, to save battery power when not used, were thoughtful and desirable touches, that completely lived up to my high expectations! Orpat calculator is without doubt, a wonderful product at a most reasonable bargain price! I'm proud that Orpat is an Indian product, and not another of those cheap Chinese products. What I did not like about the Orpat calculator, was the very cheap, flimsy and low grade carton the calculator was packed in. Even worthless Chinese products flooding the footpaths are better packed these days. Worse still, what was really jarring, was the large, garishly cheap looking brand name and model no. printed so distractingly right next to the display. Why does the company, which proclaims it's credentials as "the largest manufacturer of calculators in India", need to indulge in such loud, abrasive marketing gimicry? Why does it not let it's product's quality speak for itself and print the logo and model no. on the underside of the calculator for happy customers to discover for themselves? I appear to be more confident about the product's quality at the moment, than the manufacturer, because I see no need whatsoever to ruin the face of the product by announcing the brand name and model no. so loudly and distractingly competing for attention. Terrible idea.
