how long do you put nails under light to cure polish

I usually do about 90 seconds or sometimes a few extra seconds. It all depends on your light too. My old light would leave my nails sticky, which would wipe off with alcohol, but the new light does not do that. I buy this kit pretty often.

I like just clear nails…Can I apply multiple coats of the “foundation” or “top it off” (each cured) for better durability and nail polish thickness?

You don’t need a polish/color if you don’t want it. You can just use foundation and top coat. I personally use a natural color to give my nails a healthier appearance - adds a slight pink clear tint. It is Gelish “simple sheer” and is quite nice.
