Scenic Cement (16 oz.)

I've been building model railroads for years. It seems like every time I'm in the middle of a scenery project I run out of adhesive. The Woodland scenics product is very convenient. It's pre-diluted, has a wetting agent already added ( I still spray the area with water and rubbing alcohol) and works very well. Yes, I could just make my own by diluting white glue or matte medium, but you pay for convenience. I like having a consistent, pre measured product.

This product is great for many uses. I use it for permanent scenery items on a model railroad. However, it is basically a slightly diluted white glue. It is expensive but quality is good.

I really like this product - good consistency for spraying, dries colorless. You might be able to just create your own at home with some white glue and proper dilution, but to me it's worth the convenience and cost to get a reliable product in a convenient form.

Same old stuff. Now four times as expensive and less product.

The product is successful. I will definitely order another when the time comes.

A well engineered product. There was some trepidation during my first application of the product, as the Scenic Cement has very low surface tension, and tends to envelope and saturate everything. I had sprayed it on tiny leaves that were being used in a wooded diorama, and it looked initially like milk was poured onto my landscape. But faithfully, the cement dried, leaving the leaves posed as if they had just fallen onto the surface and were ready to be picked up again by the slightest breeze. Amazing stuff.Sometimes a certain phase of one's diorama needs a product that has been sorted and dialed in, with the modeler relying heavily on it, to pull it through that particular phase. This is my feeling towards the Woodland Scenics Scenic Cement. It saturates without any observed tendency to bead up, it dries without any trace of an enveloping plastic film, and any darkening due to wetness of the diorama parts is restored to it's original color and tone, when dried. Again, amazing stuff.

I used it to harden the snow on a model railroad. Worked really good, dries very clear and makes the snow permanent ! Not real sticky, just dries and holds everything in place!
