If you have bad water with lots of iron, you need to keep this stuff handy. I replaced my pool liner this spring and to save money filled it with the hose from my house. My water is very rusty, and I knew I would need something. So, I bought metal out and used it as directed. Needless to say, it worked wonderful!!! Pool filled, water was ugly, started filter and a day later pool was almost crystal clear. Couple of filter backwashes and a good vacuuming and the pool looks great. I will be supplementing with Metal Out every time I use the hose to top off my pool. Must have if you have rusty water.

I put 5 oz in and it went from purple to pink on test strip I just put 5 oz more to try to get to orange. This is after 5 oz. It was purple it's not even on the strip but turned my hair green from solar ionizer. It's affordable and works!!! Just lower your chlorine to nothing and pH

I was very hesitant to use this in our pool but it worked good with also doing other iron removal methods. We have hard well water so the iron in the water made it very dirty looking even though it wasn’t. Adding the metal out and doing the sock method (check out YouTube for that) our pool was clear after a week. The first two photos are 5 days apart and the third is what it cleared ended up looking like after a few more days. We do not have new water running through our pool constantly so we only needed to use one bottle of the metal out. I do not think that using just the metal out would’ve been effective, the sock method was a big help in getting all of the iron out.

Whenever I add some water to my pool (I have well water) it turns green because of the metals in my water. I put some of this in my pool and within a few hours my pool is sparkling clean again

Works as advertised

I have staining that appeared on my pool liner this year, but this treatment did absolutely nothing for me. It's possible my issue just wasn't appropriate for this stain remover, but it was a swing and a miss trying this chemical to remove light brown stains from my pool liner. Absolutely no improvement at all.

The pool liner at our new house had heavy tan/brown staining all throughout, bad enough that we were considering getting a new liner. We tried several other products that claimed to removed stains without success. This product actually did the job. While the liner isn't spotless, it did reduce the stains to just slight discoloration that you can't really notice unless you specifically pay attention to it. It took a total of 3 days to fully work, which is more than the instructions claim. It's also important to make sure your pH is 6.8 (or below) like the instructions say. Our pH was slightly higher (~6.9-7.0) initially and we were seeing no impact until we got it to the proper level. Great stuff. We will definitely buy again as needed.

Don't fallow instruction about waiting for chlorine to be gone from pool , just put it in !!
