I'll be the first to admit I did not read the full description. I was surprised by the fact that it's actually a hollow tube which makes sense considering the name. I found this easier to work with than typical gimp or plastic lace as they also call it. It's easier to work with and you don't have to worry about it getting twisted and looking funny when it's done. It was flexible to work with but nice and stiff on the finished zipper pull. Ordered this in more colors.

This string is high quality and really makes a huge difference the finished look of craft projects.

I was looking for replacement plastic string for my old Fisher Price pull toys. As another reviewer stated it works very well for this purpose and the knot stays in place. I'm very pleased.

Bought these on the advice of another knitter to use like the "barber cords" for holding stitches and trying on top down raglan taps.... it's horrible. Stitches don't slide well and it was a struggle to get the stitches on them to begin with. A total waste of money.
