ADD Circuit Mini APM ATM Fuse TAP Add ON Dual Circuit Adapter AUTO CAR Terminal + Fuse Set 5, 7.5, 10, 15, 20 AMPS

Today (May 8, 2015) I received this item, and the sockets for the fuses are still too tight for the fuses to be inserted with a normal amount of pressure. Once you get them inserted, they will not come out using a standard fuse puller. They must be removed with pliers. According to the comment posted on April 29th by Michael Kang, apparently an employee at Lumision, to Jason's review which was posted on January 14th, this problem has been resolved. This seller, Funbient, has shipped to me a unit with the defect of the fuse sockets being too tight, even though the defect has supposedly been corrected by the manufacturer. I will be contacting the seller about this problem and will update this review with the result of that contact.UPDATE: After I contacted Michael Kang (of Funbient), he sent to me a replacement part without requiring me to send the defective part back. The new part works well. The fuses can be inserted into the device with only a moderate amount of pressure.

A little pricey for what it is, but it comes with all you need to add a 12 volt line, it's easy to install, and works like it should. I used it to wire up a camera monitor and it works well. Fuses are easy enough to insert and remove and the blades fit easily but firm into the fuse box. It sits flush when inserted and I had an issue with the lower spot I initially wanted to use, because the bigger fuse below it wouldn't let it seat all the way, but easy enough to find another spot. Other than that it's an easy way to add a line.

The product was solid and worked well. Never use a fuse tap before but this helped me get power to my daughter's subwoofer in her truck. Took us a little bit to figure out that it needed both fuse slots mounted. Could use a little bit of documentation on how to use the product.

Good product, amazing customer service

Please do not consider this device. I read the previous review stating that this was "a little tight" for mini fuses, and that does not even come close to describing it. Firstly I could not get even the provided fuses into the device with finger pressure without damaging the fuse. It takes so much force to get a fuse inserted that any lateral pressure immediately twists the fuse making it useless. In desperation just to see if the fuse slot was just poorly engineered and needed to be opened up a little I took a pair of Channellocks to force a fuse straight so that it wouldn't twist the fuse. I did get a fuse inserted but after removing the fuse (which also required a pair of pliers) the slot was still too tight to insert a fresh fuse without using the Channellocks again. The only reason I wanted to use this particular device was because it advertises that it's rated for 20 Amps, but I'll never know if that would have worked. I purchased 2 of these as that is what I needed and this device is so poorly engineered that I could not take the second one and get it to fit into the first or vice versa. I had to go down to the local AutoZone and go for the lower 10 Amp rated fuse tap from Bussmann and that is what I recommend you do if you are considering getting one of these. Bottom line I absolutely do not recommend this product, it is poorly engineered and just does not work.

Bought this to hard wire my dash cam, fuse tap was easy to use. Remove the fuse you want to tap into, insert fuse tap, insert original fuse into the top slot of fuse tap, then insert second fuse to last slot, and you are done.My dash cam has been working with no issue, highly satisfied with purchase.P.S. Bought it for a dash cam hard wire project since I've read that the low profile mini add a fuse tend to fit a little loose. Did everything, took out old fuse and then I went to add it to the add a fuse only realize it wouldn't fit for obvious reasons so I fished out a equal amp fuse from the extras that ship as used that with the fuse I was adding. Worked out perfectly.

It's not uncommon for new aftermarket radios to require independent power not available on the wiring harness. This is a great simple effective solution to give you a fused power source to an 'ignition on' circuit in your cab fuse box.
