Increase the KH in my tank

Works good as a 2-in-1 alkalinity supplement for reef tanks. I didn't want the hassle of buying separate carbonate and bicarbonate products and then premixing them. This liquid product is easy to use and disperses quickly in the tank. I originally bought the Foundation A+B+C pack, but my reef depletes my alk much more quickly than my Mg and Ca so I bought the big Alk bottle this time.

Two months ago, my local store aquarium expert had recommended that stop dosing with various Kent products and instead does my reef aquarium with Red Sea Foundation A and Foundation B. His recommendation was that I alternate the dosing daily (Foundation A one day; Foundation B the next). After doing this for about 1 month, the aquarium expert asked me how things were going and way I thought of the Red Sea foundation products. 30 days in, I was still a bit skeptical about this dosing regimen. Because of the alternative day dosing schedule, I was doing a lot of water testing - primarily measuring KH and Calcium every other day and adjusting my dosage based on the testing. ( you still complete your standard water tests as well ) After 30 days, I wasn't seeing much of a difference in my reef tank. Two months into dosing my tank with Red Sea Foundation A & B, my corals have literally exploded in growth and energy. You end up adjusting and managing KH and Calcium with your dosing of Red Sea Foundation A & B. Both counteract each other, so high KH would reduce the Calcium and vice versa. Once you get the balance, you dose to maintaini it. I have to say that my corals are doing excellent. Each and every one, both LPS and SPS are doing great. Prior to this, I was dosing a number of Kent products. Using Red Sea Foundation A&B, things are much more simplified. You don't have to alternate doses daily as I do, but this works for me. I'd recommend Foundation A & B dosing. With a little patience, you will be happy with the end results.
