Works good and described well

i purchased the u1000 and i purchased the radar module just for the heck of it incase i want to use it.You can not use live veiw or cloud features when this radar module is being used and will only work in energy saver mode. i use the cloud features most so this just keeps my u1000 company on the windshield most times but i do sometimes use this to have less false hits. this will dramatically extend record time and battery life on your car. this is more intended for those that park there cars for days at a time. if you drive your car every day than honestly this is a waist of money.

The outer adhesive cover is hard to remove as it's so thin. I thought I was removing the actual adhesive itself. You need like a thin knife blade to separate the adhesive cover.Other than that I was easy to just stick it on your windshield. Also plan the location very well. Just make sure you won't be removing the adhesive on the windshield anytime soon when you change your mind, it's gonna be a pain to remove it from your windshield. This product is strongly recommended especially if you have the external backup battery like the Thinkware iVOLT BAB-50 Battery Pack, so that it doesn't drain the car battery while in use in park mode. It's quite sensitive, even when a person is just walking by or a strong wind hit the car, it's going to record. I can adjust the sensitivity. I like the default.

I'm running my U1000 duo on a Cellink Neo 6 battery that is hardwired to the car and depending on how much activity occurs around my car this extends my parking mode to several days. The U1000 doesn't miss anything going on around my car so having the ability to use less power while doing it is a bonus. I'm very glad that I purchased this module for my U1000.

Bought the U1000 2 channel (front and back) dash cam. Radar module. 128 GB mini sd card. HWK-TW01 OBD-II power cable. All by thinkware. Full installation took me about 4 hours but I'm really picky and like it to look factory installed. So far looks and works great.
