it was quiet when i first bought it and then maybe 2 months in it started a vibrating sound. i unplugged it and check tightness of all screws and everything was nice and tight ..plugged in again and still did it . the higher the speed the louder . i found if it is upside down or on an extreme side angle it stopped and was quiet again.. so needless to say i have this on the side in a very weird angle

Q: I noticed the name and model numbers are different for the black and white model. Is there a difference besides the color?

There is a difference. I bought both. The black model does not produce nearly as much air as the white model. Looking at the fan, the black one says .28 Amps. The white is .68 amps. The black one is lighter. I weighed them both. Black one weighs in at 1034 oz while the white one was 1364. There is a very noticeable difference between the two fans. The box they come in are identical (with the exception of the color of the fan on the box) and the model number. But there is a difference. It is interesting that there is no mention of that in the description of the items.

Q: how can it be cleaned?

As of 04-11-2016:Cleaning Instructions for the Models HT-900 and HT-904 as stated by the manufacturer Kaz. Turn the fan off and unplug it before cleaning.* Use only a soft cloth or cotton swab to gently wipe the fan clean.* To clean between the grilles, we recommend using a pipe cleaner, vacuum cleaner, flexibledustwand or compressed air to gently remove the dust.* DO NOT immerse the fan in water and never allow water to drip into the motor housing.* DO NOT use gasoline, paint thinner or other chemicals to clean the fan.REMOVAL OF THE FRONT GRILLE FOR CLEANINGDO NOT remove the fan grille unless the fan's power is turned offand the power cord is unplugged.* Gently lay the fan face down on a table (Fig. 5).* Remove the front grille by unscrewing the screws located on the back of the fanusing a standard phillips head screw driver ( ).NOTE: The screws will remain attached to the rear housing to ensure they arenot lost. Do not try to force the removal of the screws.* Lift the rear housing by the handle to separate from the front grille.* Re-assemble the fan by replacing the front grille and aligning the screw holes between the front grilleand the fan body. Gently tighten the screws.

worst product I ever bought

first of all it color looks kind of duplicate. like not pure white or any other color. secondly it doesn't have proper pin to connect to the socket. third burning smell comes while running. it was the first day, then it didn't work

Not for 220 VDC.

Why do amazon offer this in UAE? if it's not able to be operated here because of the power outage: 220 v. When this item is only for 110 V. This brand is the best of the portable fans, but it's not viable in UAE !!!!
