Surprisingly capable
This is just a review on my first impressions as I've only used it once so far. I was a little bit skeptical as it's not one of the big names in photography heads, but I'd read lots of positive reviews so thought I'd give it a try. It seems extremely well made, its got some weight to it but not heavy by any means. It locks down tight with just a gentle tightening of the main knob. The panning action is silky smooth. Not used the supplied plate with it, as I already use arca swiss style L-brackets. I'm someone who mounts the camera (in this case a heavy DSLR with pro lens) and them carries the tripod on my shoulder whilst in the field, and on the initial outing it performed brilliantly, didnt budge a millimeter whilst using it or carrying it. Hopefully it will last a good few years before it starts to fail. Also it looks rather nice, the actual ball being a nice matte silver finish. Right now I'd definitely recommend it over a similar in price smaller ballhead from one of the big brands.

Very pleased. But issues. Re-edit
Got this to replace my existing ball head which after many years has finally bitten the dust, the search for a new one took a while then I saw this beast of a ball head and boy is it big , very sturdy and holds my 100-400mm in any position without any droopage 🤭. All I will say is that if you take alot of pano shots which I don't then you might find it a little tight for your liking , but that's the only small negative . I've matched this with the neewer leveling base and the two go well together , now I have a good sturdy tripod that will last many more years. So after 2 years of use the panoramic adjuster knob came of and was lost , I've tried to search for a replacement but with no joy so effectively with no panoramic control knob this has rendered the ballhead useless and unusable, I am looking for a replacement at the moment , the only thing I know is that it will not be an Innorel. ______________ More update.. 08-12-24 After 3 years of use the pano adjuster came of no longer able to pano. The ball has now seazed and the ballhead adjuster has seazed . Not very good after three years of use, that's what you get for buying cheep Chinese crap... updated 8-12-2024

Very smooth to operate in all directions
I am changing my Review as I have ordered a 2nd one after organizing a return with Amazon. I have been very surprised to see the 2nd Item arriving in a strong cardboard box. The 1st arrived wrapped in bubble wrap only. It would appear someone at amazon picked a faulty item. How, remains a mystery. Anyhow, the 2nd Ball Head is working seamlessly working in all directions and all knowbs are very smoothly operating. Previous:Immediately NOT Working, the main knob is stuck and will not tighten or releave pressure on the ball head. Disgraceful. Looks like internal parts are not aseembled correctly

Very Sturdy ball head
I very solid ball head. Panning action is slightly stiff but I haven’t used it much so I’m sure once I get my gear on it it will be fine. Very pleased with it

Rock solid
Rock solid so far. It'll never be as accurate as a geared head but excellent. Look at the centre column's review.

Well made and easy to use.
I ordered this to go with the Innorel tripod and I'm glad that I did, like the tripod this ball head is build like a tank. It's sturdy and my camera feels safe mounted to it, It's easy to use and the double cut outs to enable looking down with the camera, are a fantastic help. So far, I'm very happy with my Innorel buys and will continue to use them.

Toller Kugelkopf
Hält was die Beschreibung verspricht.

Solid head for serious car mount work
Picked this up specifically for our cinema rig car mount setup and it's been doing the job properly. Car mounts are one of those situations where you absolutely cannot have anything slip mid take, the camera is hanging off the side of a vehicle with real weight on it and any creep in the head means a ruined shot or worse, gear hitting the road. The N52 has held up to that test. Loaded up with the cinema build and it doesn't budge once locked off, which is exactly what you need when you're committed to a take and the car is rolling. Build quality genuinely feels professional, not the wobbly cheap feel you get from a lot of ball heads in this price bracket. Everything machines together cleanly, knobs have proper resistance, no plasticky feel anywhere. The low profile is a nice bonus too, sits closer to the mounting point which helps keep the centre of gravity sensible when you're rigging onto a car or any non standard surface. Less leverage working against you means more stability where it matters. For the load rating you get out of this thing the price is honestly silly. If you're doing any kind of serious mounting work where failure isn't an option, this is worth having in the kit.
