What a fun toy for the kids (and the adults)!!
What a fun toy for the kids (and the adults)!! The cool thing is that it comes with an attachment that joins together the two light sabers to form one huge double light saber. Takes 3 AAA batteries. Also, the lights are bright, they make cool sounds and when you hit one against the other, they actually respond to one another. When you cycle through the various settings, you will have green, blue, red, purple, yellow. When you click the button on the 5th setting, it is in stealth mode and the sounds are off. The 6th button press turns the light saber off.

They’ve held up great and my boys love them
I ordered these to take to Disneyland so I didn’t have to pay a ton... and carry a sword around the park. ;-) They were a huge surprise for my sons and they have loved them! They’ve had some pretty aggressive sword fights... the swords have been thrown on the ground... and they still work great. I love that they change colors. The Star Wars sword noise they make is so fun for the boys... not too obnoxious... but you can turn it off if you prefer.

Hours of fun with grandson
These swords arrive and they were all intact. There were no instructions on how to install the batteries. I went to YouTube and quite frankly that was a mistake. I removed all of the screws to take it apart as I watched a video and that was the wrong thing to do. I busted a bulb and after I had it apart, I figured out how to add the batteries. So the next person won't have any issues, on one side you will see a push button which will turn the sword on an off and change the colors. Rotate it 180 degrees to the opposite side, there is a tab with a hole in just above the silver ring from the bottom. It looks like it houses a screw but it does not, push down tab and lift, you will see the battery compartment. As for the swords they change colors by pushing the button and you can turn the sound on or off. They are made of plastic, so I don't think you want to strike the other sword at full force. I believe these will provide hours of fun. Jw

Trash
If I could rate this less than one star I would. It is made of very cheap plastic. It is a almost $20 item that is the quality of a dollar store item. My grandson has only had them for 2 days. One of them did not work right away. The lights would not work at all. They would not shut off so we had to take the batteries out whenever he was done with them. Now one of the lights has already broken off from the handle. Very cheap item. You would be better off to just go light your $20 bill on fire. Don't buy this item.

Battery compartment not secure, will fall apart
This is supposed to be an updated version of a cheaper product that had an issue with the battery compartment. This is supposed to have the battery department secured by a screw so batteries don’t fall out. The battery compartment on this toy has a hole for a screw but no screw on either lights saber. As a result, when my kid dropped it the battery compartment broke open and batteries spilled out within 5 minutes, and the internal components in the battery compartment came apart. Why did I pay extra??
